SONJO VILLAGE
Kampung Sonjo is a direct introduction activity to the Borobudur Cultural Feast.
Activity:
The team of practitioners will conduct visits to the surrounding community (usually called Jagongan) to hold dialogues with and motivate all residents in mutual cooperation, by staying together in residents' homes.
Purpose:
– Measuring the strength of ancient Indonesian culture in the context of contemporary life in the present and future.
– Stimulate the creativity of the people living around Borobudur in the fields of arts and culture.
– Strengthening the position of the Borobudur area as a center for creative industries in Indonesia.
– Rebuilding the spirit of mutual cooperation and togetherness to create shared prosperity.

HANGING LANTERN COMPETITION
December 10th 2016
Participants: 20 villages in the Borobudur area
– Souvenirs in the form of Borobudur Lanterns are a business opportunity and can create an attraction for tourists at night.
– Installation along main roads/road intersections/strategic places (trees/poles/etc.) and village halls.
Types of Lanterns:
– Make your own hanging lantern.
– Free raw materials, using new materials or used goods.
such as: beverage bottles, glass bottles, cables, colored plastic, unused kitchen equipment, unused household equipment, LED lights/TL lights, etc.
Assessment criteria:
Creativity, materials, and placement of lanterns.

Brigade Soldier Competition
Sunday, December 18, 2016 – 2:00 PM WIB
Participants: 20 villages in the Borobudur area
Route: TIC to Borobudur Station
The Brigada Soldier Competition is a form of collaboration between agencies/companies and the surrounding community.
Requirements:
– Each group consists of 12 people and 1 squad leader.
– Wearing a costume of your own creation.
– Costumes are made from simple materials or used items.
– Composition: Men and women play the roles of soldiers/kings/nobles/priests/traditional music accompanists
– Accessories: Sword/shield/spear/goddess/umbrella/horse/cow/cart/etc.
– Displaying cheers.
Assessment criteria:
Creativity, togetherness, and costumes.
