Series of Vesak celebrations 2561 BE

The series of Vesak celebrations for 2561 BE began with Buddhists participating in a procession from Mendut Temple to Borobudur Temple. This procession is part of the Tri Suci Vesak 2662 BE/2017 activities. The procession also carried Blessed Water taken from Umbul Jumprit Temanggung and the Eternal Dharma Fire taken from Mrapen Purwodadi Grobogan, which were then carried to the Main Altar in the courtyard of Borobudur Temple.

On May 10, the series of Vesak celebrations for 2561 BE continued with the Lantern Flying Procession in the Akhsobya area of ​​the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park complex. By raising the Vesak theme "Increase Awareness to Become Wisdom" it is hoped that all beings can increase awareness, wisdom, develop the heart, always be humble, maintain tolerance, behave and speak truthfully, and maintain the balance of life, becoming a perfect human being as taught by Buddha.
