Mura Aristina from Borobudur Conservation Center who guides Christine Lagarde said that during this visit Christine Lagarde stopped five times to watch the beautiful scenery. "She is very interested in the biography of Buddha, She likes to meet with many people here. "Said Mura. "I also told how this temple was built with diversity, not all of the builders were Hindus and Buddhists. There was a story that once the Borobudur temple was built, there were people worshiping the sun, moon, mountain and so on. Here, that Indonesia's tolerance has existed so long ago, even 1,200 years ago when Borobudur Temple was built. So the king does not question what their religion is. The important thing they want to work with, they are given food, clothing and boards. So Borobudur is built with prosperity and peace. I also explained about stone locking technique and water system "Mura added.

During the visit, Christine Lagarde wanted some moments to take pictures in a quiet condition. Lagarde's arrival to Indonesia is in order to attend some important agendas. The arrival of Lagarde also simultaneously reviewed the preparations of Indonesia as host of the IMF Annual Meeting – World Bank in October 2018.

Meanwhile, Director of Marketing and Services PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Ricky SP Siahaan said "It is the responsibility of all parties to preserve and protect this temple, also an effort to promote for everyone to know the how big is Indonesian civilization, in the 8th century Indonesia can build a monument that is very extraordinary in this world. Therefore all parties must be responsible for maintaining, protecting and also promoting to the world, especially promotion of preservation of conservation of this temple."
