Wanting to Build a Theatre, Delegation from the Malay Traditional and Heritage Association of Selangor Malaysia Visits Prambanan Ramayana Ballet

The delegation from the Malay Traditional and Heritage Association of Selangor, Malaysia, led by the Minister of the Department of Islamic Religion, Malay Customs, Development of Villages and Traditional Villages in Selangor, the Honorable Mr Dato Dr Ahmad Yunus bin Hairi, today, Tuesday 20 March 2018, visited PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero).
The group was received directly by the Marketing and Service Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Ricky SP Siahaan at the Ramayana Teapen Unit.

Marketing and Service Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Ricky SP Siahaan said "This is a visit from a friendly country, especially the neighboring country of Malaysia, to be able to exchange information, exchange experiences and learn from each other from each country, especially from Selangor in the development of dance drama. We also want to share how we build and can develop the Ramayana Dance Drama. "

"We are exploring the existence of a World Heritage in Malaysia that we can twin with the heritage managed by Taman Wisata Candi. In Selangor, there is one that is included in the World Heritage, namely Kota Tua. Later we will try to explore how to cooperate with the Malaysian government. The hope is that in the future the more we collaborate with other countries, the more we exchange experiences, learn from each other, the more it will enrich us and the easier it will be to improve the dance drama or heritage that we manage. "said Ricky SP Siahaan.

Meanwhile, the Minister of the Department of Islamic Religion, Malay Customs, Village Development and Traditional Villages of Selangor, His Honorable Mr. Dato Dr. Ahmad Yunus bin Hairi from the Malay Customs and Heritage Agency of Selangor Malaysia said, "We have seen that Indonesia has such great identities in the eyes of the world. For that reason, how we, a small country, Selangor, want to learn how through this dance drama or this culture, we can actually build our strength as a Malay group in the archipelago, even binding our strength together for good tolerance which ultimately creates a unity. That's why I feel that this may be a beginning. But I don't see it as an oversight. We fix it, as mentioned by Mr. Ricky, we also want to see a point of similarity, not a point of difference, which will ultimately strengthen our relationship even though we are from different countries."

"We see how possible it is for employees in Selangor itself to come here to learn in building a theater like this because in Selangor the land is a blend of customs and heritage, one agency under me was given the mandate to build a theater that I think is also quite large. And there I want to see how the construction of the filling can be done as an identity of Selangor itself. " he added.
