IIKK TWC Cares About Kulonprogo Abrasion
"Today IIKK TWC is exactly 15 years old, IIKK TWC initiated a mangrove planting program in Kulon Progo"
This was conveyed by the Chairperson of the Association of Wives of Employees of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (IIKK TWC) Heriyanti Suzana Edy Setijono after planting mangrove trees in Pasir Mendit Hamlet, Jangkaran Village, Temon District, Kulonprogo Regency, Monday (08/01/2018).
Suzan further said that this activity was a form of concern from IIKK. TWC on the south coast due to the conversion of coastal functions and also several things that cause disasters, hopefully with our efforts to plant mangrove plants in Pasir Mendit Hamlet, Jangkaran Village, Temon District, Kulon Progo Regency, it can help programs in Kulon Progo Regency in terms of disaster mitigation and also increase tourism in Kulon Progo.
In addition, Suzan also mentioned that the total number of mangrove trees planted was 6000 trees, divided into three contributors from PKBL TWC amounting to 2000 trees, IIKK TWC itself 1000 trees and from Patrajasa 3000 trees.
Suzan also hopes that planting mangrove trees in Kulon Progo can help mitigate disasters in Kulon Progo and also increase tourism because the beaches are safe.
