Realizing Indonesian Women Free of Cancer, IIP BUMN DIY Holds Seminar and Health Test for Early Detection of Cervical & Breast Cancer

IIP BUMN DIY today held a Seminar and Health Test related to Early Prevention of Cervical and Breast Cancer at the Trimurti Prambanan Theater on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. This event was attended by 150 participants from BUMN DIY and the extended BUMN family.

"Today's activity is a routine activity carried out by IIP BUMN DIY and on this occasion we took the theme of Early Prevention of Cervical and Breast Cancer where in this program is a program from OASE initiated by Mrs. Iriana Jokowi. This event is very important, besides we also organize the work program that has been prepared by the Working Cabinet, we must also be able to do this related to women's health. So by detecting cervical and breast cancer early, we Indonesian women can do early prevention to avoid these two diseases. " said Chairperson of IIP BUMN DIY Heriyanti Suzana Edy Setijono

For the extension workers and IVA test examiners, IIP BUMN DIY is collaborating with the Indonesian Cancer Care Foundation of Sleman Regency which has received legalization from the Sleman Regency Health Office.

“This is routinely done. This is a large class, then we will direct the smallest units to do the same thing. The hope is that by conducting early cervical and breast cancer screening tests earlier, it can prevent death and avoid this disease. The seminar participants were 150 mothers from BUMN DIY and the extended BUMN family and those who did the IVA test today were 80 mothers, but we suggest that those who cannot do the IVA test today can do the same test at the nearest Health Center. My hope is that all women in Indonesia, especially the extended family of BUMN DIY, can realize that anyone can get this disease, but with the knowledge of how to avoid it, of course we will do things to avoid this disease. " added Suzan.

Meanwhile, Dr. Novita Krisnaeni, Head of Disease Prevention and Control at the Sleman District Health Office, said that cancer is a disease that requires attention from all parties, both the government and the community.

“Cancer is one of the diseases that requires attention from all parties, both the government and the community. And on this occasion, we really appreciate IIP BUMN DIY for holding this event, Early Prevention of Cervical and Breast Cancer. Incidentally, this February, precisely on February 4, we commemorate World Cancer Day with the theme We can I can. What IIP BUMN DIY has done is very good. We, from the Sleman Regency Government, also express our gratitude because this is one of the activities that helps maintain the health of the people of Sleman Regency.
