BUMN Present for the Country, TWC Cares About Abrasion, 6000 Mangrove Tree Seedlings Planted on the South Coast of Kulon Progo
"We care about appreciation on the Kulon Progo coastline, abrasion is an important problem, every year the sea water increasingly erodes the coastline, so planting mangrove trees is the choice that is made"
That is what Edy Setijono, President Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) said after planting 6000 tree seedlings. mangroves in Pasir Mendit Hamlet, Jangkaran Village, Temon District, Kulon Progo Regency, Monday, (08/01/2018).
Furthermore, Edy said that this is part of the BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri activity and this activity is a collaboration between PT Taman Wisata Candi Boorobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko through the Taman Wisata Candi Environmental Development Partnership Program with the Association of Wives of Taman Wisata Candi Employees and Patrajasa.
In addition, Edy also said that this was done as a preparation and effort to encourage that mangroves must become a good ecosystem buffer because soon we know we will have a new international airport in Kulon Progo, which will later become a buffer zone for tourism recipients.
Edy also has a desire for this area to maintain its ecosystem but also become part of the tourism attraction built in Kulon Progo, 6000 trees planted in this area Edy hopes that in the future it can become a broader joint movement and will also invite other BUMNs and the Kulon Progo government, as long as there is good planning so that we will be present again not sporadically where we must carry out this planting so that it really becomes a useful activity for environmental conservation on the coast of Kulon Progo.
