TWC CEO Edy Setijono, “To Win the Competition, We Must Be Champions. Champion is a Decision, Not a Given.”
President Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Edy Setijono invited every employee to have a champion mentality. This is needed to be able to win the competition in this increasingly tight era. This was conveyed when he became the Inspector of Ceremony in the Flag Ceremony held on Monday, March 19, 2018.
“There are at least 5 things that we must pay attention to if we want to be champions and can truly realize our desires and make ourselves champions. The first is that being a champion is a decision, not a gift. If all my friends remember our proclamation text, our independence is an independence that we achieved through struggle. Which we achieved with bloodshed. Not an independence that is given or we receive because of a gift. Being a champion is not because of a gift, Being a champion is because we decide to be a champion. That is the most important thing if we want to be a champion. " said Edy Setijono.
Then the second according to Edy Setijono, to become a champion, every employee must communicate that the desire to become a champion, include it in the workplace, remind themselves with various existing attributes that TWC is a champion. Then every step will be a reminder, that TWC is a champion.
“Third, being a champion is a choice. Being an excellent corporation is a choice. In an era of increasingly tight competition, we have a choice to be present in the competition, whether we will be an excellent corporation or we will be an ordinary corporation or a normal corporation. We will be the majority or we will be the main one. We must always choose to always be able to be present as a champion. We must prepare ourselves to build this TWC into an excellent corporation to be able to win this increasingly tight competition and we will be there again and will be present as champions.” Added Edy Setijono.
“Fourth, champions always have a plan. To become a champion, it must be poured into a plan that is indeed a plan leading to the final goal as a champion. It is a big challenge to design an action plan to become a champion. That is a focus on detail. Lastly, to become a champion, a champion accepts change. A champion will not always stick. A champion will roll with time, presenting new challenges. Challenges will never be static at a certain point, challenges will change, will be present at all times. If we want to come out as champions, then we must accept change. Every change must be a potential that we can manage to become our strength so that we can conquer and we can win the competition for us to become champions. " He concluded.
