TWC Builds Klaten Tourism Economy

TWC Builds Klaten Tourism Economy, Implements Cash-Intensive Work Program (PKT) at Ki Ageng Gribig Jatinom Klaten Tomb Complex
The commitment of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) or TWC to advance together with the community is increasingly evident. As a company that manages the historical relics of Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple and Ratu Boko, TWC also has a social responsibility towards the environment (Corporate Social Responsibility) or CSR. As implemented today, Friday, April 27, 2018, at the Ki Ageng Gribig Jatinom Klaten Tomb Complex, TWC implemented the Cash for Work program.
The Cash for Work Program (PKT) is a directive from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, which was then followed up by the Ministry of SOEs, as one of the contributions in the series of events to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Ministry of SOEs. PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (TWC) as a state-owned company also plays a role and participates in realizing the directive from the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
The type of assistance is in the form of Landscape Revitalization work of the Ki Ageng Gribig Jatinom Klaten Tomb complex, with a nominal assistance of Rp.250.000.000,-. This Cash for Work Program was implemented for 2 (two) days, namely April 27-28, 2018 involving at least 450 local residents. As a form of support from the Ministry of SOEs, this Cash for Work program began with a thanksgiving activity by the Deputy for Energy, Logistics, Industrial Areas and Tourism of the Ministry of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Edwin Hidayat Abdullah.
"This is part of our concern as a BUMN. We know that BUMN has 2 tasks, namely as an excellent corporation. Then this BUMN is owned by the state, which means it belongs to the people. Therefore, the Ministry of BUMN encourages BUMN to activate activities that are close to the people. We have a BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri program. TWC translates the program into the Cash for Work program," said the President Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Edy Setijono.
“The implementation of the 2018 Cash for Work program involves local residents. TWC wants to invite all people to take an active role in building and driving the national economy. Building and prospering this nation is not only the responsibility of the Government and BUMN, but also the community. For that, let us together develop the potential of religious tourism in the Ki Ageng Gribig Jatinom Klaten Tomb complex. Hopefully, our assistance can provide benefits,” said Edy Setijono.
Still in the series of activities to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Ministry of SOEs, previously TWC had also implemented a Cash for Work program in the area around Borobudur Temple, namely in Sambeng and Kembanglimus Villages on April 21-22, 2018 and involved 650 local residents. The types of work carried out were Paving of Connecting Roads of 5 Hamlets and Repair of Roads to the Chicken Church Tourist Attraction. All activities carried out by TWC are a form of concern and responsibility of the company towards the community environment to advance the economy of the surrounding villages. Through the BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri program, TWC is truly present in the midst of the community to jointly build the country.
