TWC Student Achievement Acceleration Program Evaluation

BUMN Present for the Country, Evaluation of TWC Student Achievement Acceleration Program, TWC President Director "BUMN Wants to Be Present as a Companion for Schools with Limitations So They Can Compete"
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) through the PKBL Division as part of the BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri Program, has implemented the Student Achievement Acceleration Program for 3 Elementary Schools, namely SDN Salakan Lor Selomartani Kalasan, SD N Perumnas 3 Condong Catur Depok Sleman and SD N 1 Sengon Prambanan Klaten. This mentoring program is intended for grade VI students to face the 2018 USBN.
"After we have been mentoring for approximately 3 months, this program was deliberately chosen by us as schools that quote and quote have limitations both in terms of facilities and students. But that is what is challenging for us, that we want this BUMN to be present, we are here to accelerate so that our younger siblings, our children have the same opportunities as their friends from schools that have better facilities. Alhamdulillah in the past 3 months the results have been quite satisfying. There has been an increase in the average value of approximately 2 points. This is something we are grateful for and this is also the basis for us to carry out this program in the coming years," said TWC President Director Edy Setijono in a program evaluation event at SDN Perumnas 3 Condong Catur Depok Sleman on Monday, June 11, 2018.
” So far, with the existing conditions, they have been implementing a standard, regular education pattern. This is the reason we must be present. If this school continues with a standard pattern, they will not be able to catch up with other schools that have better facilities and more varied methods. This is the basis for our presence and we do want to be present, BUMN wants to be present as a companion in this education sector so that these less fortunate schools still have the same opportunity to compete in higher schools. We take them from elementary school so that they can enter a superior junior high school. ” added Edy Setijono.
Edy Setijono also said that this program will be evaluated first, if the results are good then next year TWC will also collaborate with other BUMNs to be involved so that the number will be greater with a target of 50 Elementary Schools.
The principal of Salakan Lor Elementary School appreciated this program.
"We are grateful for the guidance from Prime Generation on behalf of TWC, SD Salakan Lor has the opportunity to participate in mentoring. The impact of the mentoring is that SD Salakan Lor, even though the others have decreased, SD Salakan Lor has increased. " said the Principal of SD Salakan Lor.
Meanwhile, Chyntia, a student at Perumnas 3 Elementary School, felt happy to participate in this Mentoring Program.
” It was fun to join this program. It was nice, we were not nervous. We worked on the questions more easily. We thought more broadly. The result was that our ranking in class went up. Thank you for guiding us until yesterday, the USBN went smoothly, we could do it easily. ” said Chyntia.
