Sido Muncul Promotes Prambanan Temple to the Philippines in Its Advertisement Collaborating with Filipino Artist Kris Aquino
PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul, Tbk has again made a new advertisement for its flagship product Tolak Angin. By collaborating with Filipino artist Kris Aquino, the shooting was done in Yogyakarta and Semarang. The plan is, this advertisement will be aired in two countries, namely the Philippines and Indonesia.
Kris Aquino is an artist, presenter, and producer in the Philippines. He is the son of the 11th President of the Philippines Corazon Aquino and the younger brother of the 15th President of the Philippines Benigno Aquino. Kris Aquino was chosen as the star of the Tolak Angin advertisement because Sido Muncul wanted to introduce the Tolak Angin product in the Philippines through local people.
Sido Muncul Director Irwan Hidayat said, "The selection of advertising stars using local Filipinos is to increase public trust in Sido Muncul products. We also hope that through Kris Aquino, the Filipino people will find it easier to get to know Tolak Angin and can accept Sido Muncul products. Moreover, the Filipino people have a tradition of drinking herbal medicine that is almost the same as Indonesia."
Previously, Sido Muncul also collaborated with professional boxer from the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao, as the advertising star for Tolak Angin and Kuku Bima Energi.
Currently, Sido Muncul is expanding its market share by expanding to the Philippines. Sido Muncul has also registered Tolak Angin with the Food and Drug Administration.

The shooting was carried out starting from Prambanan Temple, which is one of the icons of the city of Yogyakarta. Continued with the shooting of the crowded atmosphere at night on Malioboro Street.
The advertisement also features the Sido Muncul Factory located in Klepu, Semarang, showing the Tolak Angin production process from material processing, laboratory research, to modern factories. It is hoped that Kris Aquino can believe in what he will promote and become a bridge of information to his country that Indonesian products are processed properly and correctly.
