TWC Distributes PKBL Funds to 22 Fostered Partners
President Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Edy Setijono through the Partnership & Community Development Program (PKBL) TWC, handed over partnership program assistance to 22 fostered partners amounting to Rp. 382.500.000,- with various types of businesses around the Taman Wisata Candi, Monday (02/07/2018). On that occasion, the President Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Edy Setijono said that he always tries to attend the TWC Partnership & Community Development program event, provides a brief overview of the TWC PKBL Program and provides direction so that the fostered partners can use the funds to increase competitiveness and be serious about advancing and developing their respective businesses which aim to improve the standard of living and welfare.
"PKBL is a program that is TWC's obligation, but it is not TWC's main program and is not TWC's business of lending and borrowing, why is this an obligation? Because TWC is a BUMN owned by the State, in Indonesia there are 118 BUMNs that receive tasks from the State, the first task is to have an Excellence Corporation, this BUMN is required to be profitable but we must be able to compete with other business entities, so the BUMN must perform well, one of the benchmarks is that its financial performance must be good".
The second task given by the State to BUMN Agent of Development is to assist in development, acceleration, and community welfare. PKBL is the function of both BUMNs, so there is a balance to become an excellent company and a balance in us contributing to improving community welfare. Therefore, this PKBL program, especially partnerships with small administrative costs compared to commercial finance, is not its task, TWC is not seeking profit from borrowing and lending.
The small administration fee is the cost for administration so that it can roll later, and this is what the fostered partners must utilize because indeed BUMN is Present Nationally, the name is BUMN Present for the Country, and this partnership program is one of them, BUMN wants to always be present in the midst of society, always be present to accompany the community, always be present as a friend and companion for the community who want to develop and progress, what TWC focuses on is who is serious about progressing, that is the obligation for TWC to accompany.
Edy further explained, this PKBL with a loan interest rate of 3% because it is emphasized so that it can be accessed by the wider community and so that it is not burdensome but that is the goal. According to the data that is currently borrowed is still small even though the ceiling can be up to 200 million, TWC only asks for sincerity because TWC does not ask for its profits, the profit is for the fostered partners themselves, because if the fostered partners are serious then the fostered partner's business will grow, if the partner's business grows automatically the welfare of the partners will definitely increase and that is the goal of TWC to help the government so that the welfare of the community increases and TWC.
