TWC Peduli's Visit to Condolences for SMPN 1 Turi River Accident

Saturday, February 22, 2020, Secretary of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Emilia Eny Utari and the TWC PKBL Team visited SMPN 1 Turi, Sleman, DI Yogyakarta. This visit aims to provide assistance and condolences from TWC to the victim's family and the school where the victim studied.

Arriving at the location of SMPN 1 Turi which is also a rescue post, the TWC team was greeted by the Principal of SMPN 1 Turi, Mrs. Tutik Murdiana. TWC symbolically handed over the “TWC Peduli” assistance to the Principal who was greeted with emotion.

"Actually, the river tracing activity carried out by our school's Scout extracurricular group is a routine activity that is often held. At the time of the incident, there were 7 instructors accompanying them. Until now, there are still 11 of our students who have become victims," ​​explained Tutik.

After providing assistance from TWC to the school and the parents of the victims. TWC Secretary Emilia Eny Utari stated that TWC cares about the disaster that befell the students of SMPN 1 Turi.

"We from TWC express our condolences to the victims of the river accident experienced by the scouts from SMPN 1 Turi. Hopefully the assistance we provide can ease the burden suffered by the family and school. Hopefully the rescue team and all parties involved are given ease in the search." commented TWC Secretary Emilia Eny Utari after providing assistance.

At the same time, present at the location were Minister of Law and Human Rights Mahfud MD, Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari Batubara, Deputy Governor of DI Yogyakarta KGPAA Paku Alam X, and Regent of Sleman Sri Purnomo. They were also present to provide assistance to the school and the families of the victims.

In a press conference, Minister of Law and Human Rights Mahfud MD gave a statement: "We are taking a khusnudzon attitude first. For now, we are trying our best to find our younger siblings who are still missing. To the parents of the victims and the school, may they be given fortitude." He explained.
