Coordination Meeting of PKBL Work Program of the Ministry of SOEs 2020 in Yogyakarta

On Monday, February 24, 2020, a group consisting of the ranks of BUMN PKBL in Indonesia, staff of the BUMN ministry, and special staff III of the Minister of BUMN of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Arya Sinulingga, visited Yogyakarta in the context of the BUMN PKBL Work Program Coordination Meeting which is planned to take place from February 23 to 25, 2020.

One of the agendas of the visit today is the RKB BRI BUMN Creative House in Terban, Gondokusuman, Yogyakarta and the RKB BNI Upakarti Gallery at the Sleman Industry & Trade Office. In addition to the visit, the group also saw various merchandise and listened to direct presentations from government officials involved and UMKM actors.

One of the Yogyakarta MSMEs active in the field of Eco Product Natural Dyeing, House of Distraw explained the development of their business, the training they received and the assistance they received from RKB & BUMN.

"We from House of Distraw are engaged in Eco Product fabric motifs and patterns that use Natural Dyeing techniques. So the dyes we use are natural ingredients found in Indonesia." Kukuh Nugroho explained representing House of Distraw at RKB BRI Rumah Kreatif BUMN in Terban.

"Since 2017 we have been consistently running this business, conducting research and studies, even traveling around Indonesia to look for natural dyes in the area. Now our market has spread to foreign countries. Starting from Japan, Europe, America. They really love this natural dyeing product." Kukuh continued.

"What is clear is that since we started at RKB, our turnover has been 12 million per year, now our turnover is approaching 800 million," Kukuh concluded, greeted by applause from the group.

After the Yogyakarta BUMN Creative House in Terban, the group visited the Sleman BUMN Creative House at the Sleman Industry & Trade Office. The group arrived and was greeted by the Head of the Sleman Regency Trade and Industry Office, Mae Rusmi Suryaningsih.
The group then saw some of the works of UMKM actors in a location designed like a showcase of Sleman UMKM products. Several items on display managed to captivate the group's guests.

In his presentation, Special Staff III of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Arya Sinulingga, provided comments regarding the functions and duties of the BUMN Creative House.

“The existence of BUMN Creative House can synergize between BUMNs. The existence of co-working spaces, workshop rooms, can be a place to exchange ideas and knowledge. So imagine now in one location (BUMN Creative House Yogyakarta) there are 200 workshops every year. Now we synergize again between BUMN friends. The more workshops that can be held in a year. Then the more developed the UMKM in Yogyakarta. Let's make BUMN Creative House a center for developing UMKM." Arya Sinulingga explained when giving a presentation at BUMN Creative House Yogyakarta.

In a separate interview at Rumah Kreatif BUMN Sleman, Arya Sinulingga also explained, “This UMKM has interesting and diverse goods. The products have also been tested in the market. If I may give a suggestion, this UMKM can produce unique and exclusive works, so that its value can be greater. Become a superior product of the region too.”

"I brought friends from BUMN, so that they can all see, and be motivated to advance BUMN in their respective regions. Hopefully with this, Indonesia can advance. So what is expected by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, UMKM can advance and help advance Indonesia." Arya concluded.
