BSN Supports Temple Tourism Park Transformation Through SMAP Implementation
PT Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko continues to commit to improving the company's performance by continuing to make improvements in many areas, one of which is by implementing the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). TWC will carry out a transformation process by implementing the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP).
In order to deepen and prepare regarding SMAP, TWC held an audience with the National Standardization Agency (BSN) at the BSN Office, Jakarta, Monday (24/02/2020).
Risk & Governance Manager of PT TWC Prima Bagus Indarjaya said that the implementation of SMAP is TWC's commitment to transform as well as the company's commitment to continue improving corporate governance, especially after TWC received the 2019 SNI Award in the Bronze category.
In addition, as a realization that TWC is carrying out the mandate of the Ministry of SOEs, which requires all SOEs to implement SMAP.
In addition to SMAP, Prima added, PT TWC this year will also focus on implementing SNI ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Technology-Security Techniques “information security management system”.
Responding to this, BSN Head Bambang Prasetya welcomed PT TWC's enthusiasm to implement SMAP. "We support PT TWC in implementing SMAP. Moreover, PT TWC is the recipient of the 2019 SNI Award," said Bambang.
According to Bambang, SMAP and Information Security Management System (SMKI) are the implementation of the main standards in the management of cultural heritage. "The implementation of SMAP in tourist attractions certainly adds to the track record of BSN which is present to support the implementation of SNI in all lines," explained Bambang.
On the other hand, Bambang also hopes that TWC can encourage MSMEs around tourist attractions to implement the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for the products offered so that it can be an added value for TWC.
"As an added value, food products managed and sold at tourist attractions can also be subject to SNI, which focuses on MSMEs. Including souvenirs sold at tourist attractions. Through the implementation of SNI, the quality of souvenirs offered to tourists can be improved. Thus creating standard-based MSMEs," said Bambang.
In addition to Bambang, also present at the audience were the Director of Strengthening the Implementation of Standards and Conformity Assessment of BSN, Heru Suseno, and representatives of Public Relations.
Meanwhile, the plan for the kickoff of the implementation of SMAP by TWC which will be witnessed by the Head of BSN will be carried out on March 13, 2020 at the TWC Office, Yogyakarta. In addition, the kickoff will also be held the launching of the series of activities of the Indonesia Quality Expo (IQE) 2020 in Yogyakarta.
