Coffee Morning TWC Directors with Media

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia continues to strive to boost the tourism world in dealing with the impact of the spread of the Corona virus. This is done by implementing several policies that are thought to be able to revive the enthusiasm of the tourism industry in Indonesia.

Some of the stimulus for tourism include providing discounts on airline tickets and increasing annual leave for Indonesian workers.

Currently, to continue to revive the Indonesian tourism world, the government hopes for domestic tourists. Domestic tourists are considered capable of continuing to revive the Indonesian tourism world.

This is also what PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) wants to achieve.

"In dealing with the impact of the spread of the Corona virus, we shift our high hopes to domestic tourists who come. We hope that the policies of the Indonesian government can have an impact on visits to our destinations." Said the President Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Edy Setijono in a Coffee Morning event with the TWC Board of Directors, at Rama Shinta Resto, Friday (12/3/2020).

The man who is familiarly called Tio assured the Indonesian people that our tourist destinations are safe for tourists to visit. This is reinforced by several state visits to several tourist destinations managed by TWC.

"Last Wednesday we were visited by the King and Queen of the Netherlands," Tio continued.

TWC is trying to take preventive measures in dealing with the Corona virus. This is done by checking the body temperature of foreign tourists and providing hand sanitizers at several points in the Taman Wisata Candi area.

In addition, TWC has also conducted socialization for the community around its leading destinations. The community is expected not to worry about the arrival of tourists because they have gone through several stages of anticipatory checks for the spread of the Corona virus.

The impact of the corona virus is also greatly felt by PT TWC. Since the corona virus issue became widespread, the number of foreign tourists visiting TWC destinations has dropped drastically.

Some steps taken to anticipate this decline include changing strategies by targeting visits to domestic tourists.

"Before the Corona virus, we had a target to grow foreign tourists. Of course, we will not be able to pursue this in semester 1 so we changed the target to domestic tourists," said Hetty Herawati.

One of the steps to increase the interest of domestic tourists is by holding corporate gathering programs, student programs and events that involve and of course educate students.
