PT TWC Implements Safety-Based Services for Tourists at the Temple Tourism Park

In order to anticipate the spread of Covid-19, PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (Persero) (PT TWC) as a professional BUMN managing cultural heritage area continues to provide excellent service to Taman Wisata Candi tourists. This excellent service is the main reference for the safety of tourists visiting this destination.

Referring to this, PT TWC continues to open services by limiting the visiting area for tourists entering the Taman Wisata Candi area. Visitors can only enjoy the beauty of the temple from zone II which is located in the Taman Wisata Candi area. Various interesting facilities can still be accessed by tourists visiting this destination.

"We have made a policy by considering the decision of the government in our region, both Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta, that the Taman Wisata Candi area will remain open with restrictions on the visiting area for tourists. For the next two weeks (16-29 March 2020) during the Covid-19 alert period, tourists are not allowed to go up to the Temple area. Regarding this policy, we will continue to evaluate the conditions in accordance with the development of regional government policies (Central Java and DIY) that cover our work areas." explained the President Director of PT TWC while leading a task force meeting discussing Covid-19 at the TWC Head Office, Monday (16/3/2020).

PT TWC itself sets 4 parameters in determining the policy of opening access for tourists. First, TWC will implement the Covid-19 Public Area Protocol for tourists. Secondly,, TWC will also follow the decision of the Regional Head where the destination is located, both the Central Java Provincial Government and the DIY Regional Government. Third, if a Covid-19 suspect is found in the Taman Wisata Candi environment, PT TWC will implement a policy of closing access to all of its areas while continuing to take measures to prevent the spread. Fourth, the government's decision to close Borobudur and Prambanan considering that these destinations are Super Priority Destinations. This is done by continuing to monitor the latest conditions in the field.

"We take this policy with the aim of preventing excessive panic. We ensure that tourism conditions in Yogyakarta and Central Java remain conducive. Of course, by remaining alert and vigilant." Edy Setijono added.

In response to this, PT TWC itself has implemented a policy of reducing entrance ticket prices for visiting tourists. This will be enforced from March 16 to 29, 2020 until services return to normal.

"We are implementing one price for the entrance ticket to the temple area. We are eliminating through tickets for tourists to reduce the spread of the dangers of Covid-19," said Edy Setijono. For customers or customer associated with ticketing can contact call center PT TWC at number 0811-2688-000.

PT TWC has formed a Covid-19 Prevention Task Force tasked with carrying out preventive measures in the Taman Wisata Candi environment. As a form of prevention, PT TWC will also spray disinfectant throughout the Taman Wisata Candi area, including the parking area, main entrance gate, and other facilities in the area such as toilets, prayer rooms and shelter where these places are possible to be used as tourist gatherings. PT TWC will cooperate with the Conservation Center and the Cultural Heritage Preservation Center to spray disinfectant in the Temple area.

This is done as an effective step in reducing the potential for the spread of Covid-19. In addition, PT TWC will also carry out fogging to anticipate the spread of dengue fever mosquitoes in the Candi Tourism Park environment.

"This task force, in addition to preventing Covid-19, also has the task of monitoring areas that have the potential to be sources of dengue fever. We will coordinate with various parties, both the Health Service and referral hospitals," explained Edy Setijono.
