PT TWC CONTINUES TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF TEMPLE PARK AREA
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) has again temporarily closed access for tourists to several tourist destinations it manages, such as Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) Borobudur, Prambanan, Ratu Boko, and the Ramayana Theater and Stage. This temporary closure will be carried out again until April 21, 2020.
This temporary closure was re-implemented by looking at the development of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The determination of the temporary closure of TWC was also after coordination at both the central and regional government levels. Seeing these conditions, we decided to continue the closure of TWC tourist access." said President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono in Prambanan, Saturday (11/4/2020).
During the access closure, PT TWC will continue to make improvements and maintenance, especially related to existing facilities and infrastructure. Park maintenance and care continues to be carried out so that it is maintained and better maintained, so that it will be enjoyable for tourists in the future when visiting the TWC destination. Along with this and seeing the current conditions, TWC Management still expects tourists to follow the government's appeal to stay at home until conditions recover.
In order to help speed up the Covid-19 pandemic to end soon, PT TWC has also issued an official circular for all employees not to travel outside the region and/or homecoming activities in the context of Eid al-Fitr 1441 H or other homecoming activities during the validity period of the status of a certain state of emergency for the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak according to the Circular of the Ministry of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia Number SE-4/MBU/04/2020 dated April 6, 2020. This is also expected to be implemented by the wider community not to travel home for Eid this year.
"The Covid-19 pandemic is a disaster for all of us, therefore the participation of all levels of society is needed so that the spread of this virus can end soon. Let's work together to provide assistance to each other, and of course by not traveling out of town to break the chain of transmission of Covid-19." Edy Setijono explained.
In addition, referring to the Decree of the Minister of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia, PT TWC has also been appointed as the regional coordinator of the National SOE Disaster Task Force in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The duties of this task force include initiating and coordinating the implementation of disaster response activities in a planned and integrated manner for SOEs in the DIY region.
In its duties, the DIY BUMN Disaster Task Force also analyzes the main needs in handling Covid-19, such as the need for PPE for medical personnel, provision of sanitation facilities such as public hand washing facilities and also basic needs assistance for people in need through basic food assistance. Support and assistance are also provided for the renovation of Referral Hospital rooms for PDP and positive Covid-19 patients.
"It is hoped that with the existence of the BUMN National Disaster Task Force, we BUMN can contribute to helping overcome the Covid-19 disaster in the Special Region of Yogyakarta so that the situation and conditions can return to normal." The Head of the DIY BUMN Task Force concluded.
