PT TWC DISTRIBUTES FOOD AND PPE ASSISTANCE TO RESIDENTS IN KLATEN AND SLEMAN

In order to ease the burden of residents affected by Covid-19, PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) distributed aid to various parties, Wednesday (22/4/2020). The aid distributed was in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hundreds of basic food packages.

The aid was distributed to several locations in Sleman, Yogyakarta and Klaten, Central Java. Head of the Covid-19 Task Force of PT TWC Emilia Eny Utari said that this aid was a means of preventing Covid-19 in the form of hand sanitizers, disinfectants, masks and body thermometers.

"This assistance is given to the local government to help ease the burden on residents affected by Covid-19 both in Klaten and Sleman, Yogyakarta. We want to be present and share so that people can meet their living needs until this pandemic is over," said Emilia Eny Utari. Previously, PT TWC had distributed similar assistance in several locations in Magelang, Central Java.

A total of 200 basic food packages consisting of rice, oil, and granulated sugar were distributed to several recipients such as residents of Mrican Hamlet, Depok, Sleman, residents of Wedomartani, Ngemplak, Sleman and the Klaten CSR Forum Secretariat.

Meanwhile, as many as a thousand masks and a number of PPE consisting of hand sanitizers, masks, disinfectants and thermometers were given to the Prambanan and Kalasan District agencies, Sleman, to then be distributed to surrounding residents.

Mrican Hamlet, Sumarji, is grateful for the assistance provided by PT TWC. This assistance will be distributed directly to affected residents in his hamlet.

"There are around 400 residents affected around here. Hopefully this assistance can ease the burden of residents in dealing with this Corona virus." He said.

The head of RT 07 Wedomartani, Ngemplak, Sleman, Parno, said that this assistance would be prioritized for the elderly in his village. "They generally live alone because their children have gone abroad. We want to guarantee their safety in the conditions of the spread of the Corona virus." He explained.

In the handover of this aid, a number of members of the PT TWC Covid-19 Handling Task Force also participated, such as GM Ratu Boko Wiharjanto, GM of Ramayana Theater and Stage Chrisnamurti Adiningrum.
