TRIAL OPERATIONAL OPENING WITH VISITOR RESTRICTIONS AT BOROBUDUR TEMPLE TOURISM PARK (TWC)

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) conducted a trial opening of the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park (TWC) area, Thursday (25/6/2020). This opening was carried out after going through three stages of COVID-19 free health protocol simulations that were carried out on June 10, 16 and 18, 2020 so that permission was obtained to carry out the trial from the Central Java Province Corona Acceleration Handling Task Force.
"The Governor of Central Java has given permission for a trial opening of operations in the TWC Borobudur area because the destination has met the requirements for opening a tourist area by conducting simulations of the implementation of the New Normal standard health protocol three times. We have witnessed and participated directly in the activities which went well and TWC has followed up on feedback and input from stakeholders and tourism actors in the second and third simulations. The permit for the trial opening of operations is intended to limit visitors to a maximum of 50 percent of the normal number of visits," explained the Head of the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office (Disporapar) of Central Java Province, Sinoeng N Rachmadi while attending a press conference for the trial opening of operations in the TWC Borobudur area, Wednesday (24/6/2020).
"Borrobudur Temple Tourism Park as a super priority destination has implemented health protocol standards and stated its ability to meet the 7 principles of health protocols that we have determined as a requirement in granting a trial permit for the opening of operations in the area. I saw and participated directly in the simulation of the trial implementation of the New Normal standards so that I gave permission for PT TWC to conduct a trial opening of operations," said Zaenal Arifin, Regent of Magelang in a press conference in Borobudur.
"Alhamdulillah, we have received the green light for the trial opening of the TWC destination from the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 both from Central Java Province and Magelang Regency. We are carrying out this opening carefully. We do not want to be reckless. We are limiting visitors. During the trial period of this operational opening, we are limiting visitors to only 10 to 15 percent or a maximum of 1500 people per day, the implementation of which will be monitored by a team from the Regional Government.
