DISCIPLINE IN IMPLEMENTING NEW NORMAL PROTOCOLS TOWARDS “READY FOR SAFE TOURISM”

Entering the New Normal era amid the COVID-19 pandemic, people are starting to return to their normal routines, such as working and exercising. These activities can be seen starting to be busy again. Crowded centers that have been closed for months are coming back to life along with this New Normal condition.
In Yogyakarta itself, several objects of crowded points can be seen starting to be visited by the public. Main objects such as Tugu Yogya, Grha Sabha Permana, Malioboro and Titik Nol Kilometer can be sure to be the location of gathering of community activities, especially during holidays.
Amidst the preparations of various tourism managers and public areas in implementing the COVID-19 health protocol, many residents are still ignorant of implementing health protocols during their activities. The use of masks, maintaining distance and maintaining body hygiene are some of the main points that need to be instilled in the community. So that they start to become the main values ​​in living life in this New Normal era.
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (Persero) in collaboration with Grab Indonesia and PAM Obvit Polda DIY and supported by Telkom Indonesia and Pertamina held a campaign activity "Ready for Safe Tourism", Sunday (28/6/2020). This activity aims to invite the public to be more aware and care about the importance of health protocols in the current New Normal era.
Ready for Safe Tourism is a movement initiated by TWC as one of the tourism industry players in Yogyakarta, to invite the public to play an active role together in implementing health protocols in public places, especially at gathering points or tourism objects in Yogyakarta.
"Many people have started to gather to do activities outside, especially in the city centers and tourist attractions in Yogyakarta. We see the longing of the community to be able to travel again in Yogyakarta. However, many people are still ignoring the implementation
New Normal Protocol, such as not maintaining distance and not wearing masks. The Ready For Safe Tourism activity aims to raise public awareness in implementing the New Normal Protocol when doing activities outside the home to minimize the spread of Covid-19 in DIY," said President Director of PT TWC, Edy Setijono.
The Ready for Safe Tourism campaign was carried out with a convoy using GrabWheels which was attended by 50 participants from PT TWC, Grab, PAM Obvit and other BUMN. In its implementation, this activity also implemented health protocols, such as checking the body temperature of participants before starting activities, mandatory use of masks and maintaining physical distancing. The convoy route started from Gajah Mada University to Tugu Pal Putih, Titik Nol Yogyakarta and ended at Pagelaran Alun-Alun Utara Yogyakarta.
The convoy activity using GrabWheels was attended by 50 participants from PT TWC, Grab, PAM Obvit and a number of participants from other BUMN such as Telkom and Pertamina.
At each stop, residents can participate in the New Normal protocol campaign by uploading photos to the virtual photobooth provided. After that, residents can upload them to their respective social media to win attractive prizes.
Dirpamobvit invites all citizens to support the government's program in an effort to implement the New Normal in every aspect of life, one of which is the world of tourism. "Let us support the government's efforts to eradicate the Covid-19 pandemic, so that Indonesia can soon be free from the pandemic and life can return to normal, including the tourism sector."
