PT TWC Distributes Five Thousand Masks to Traditional Markets in Yogyakarta and Central Java

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) continues to support the safe tourism program to prevent the spread of Covid-19, especially in tourist areas. This is done in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo to suppress the spread of Covid-19 by implementing strict health protocols that must be adhered to by residents, especially those who do activities outside the home.

One of the activities carried out was the provision of five thousand masks for residents who were active in traditional markets in Yogyakarta and Central Java, Tuesday (8/9/2020). The activity of providing masks intended for traders and market visitors was carried out at several points, such as Borobudur Market, Muntilan Market Magelang, TWC Borobudur area market and Srago Market Klaten, Central Java. In addition, the distribution of masks was carried out at Prambanan Market, Kalasan Market, Potrojayan Market and TWC Prambanan area market, Yogyakarta.

Corporate Secretary of PT TWC Emilia Eny Utari said that efforts to control the Covid-19 pandemic are a joint effort between the government and the community. PT TWC as a BUMN company wants to participate in controlling this pandemic, especially in efforts to raise public awareness to comply with health protocols in public places.

"We went directly to the field to provide five thousand masks to residents so that we continue to comply with health protocols wherever we do activities. We are aware that eradicating this pandemic must be done together. Residents have a very important role in controlling this pandemic," explained Emilia when providing mask assistance to Kalasan Market traders, Tuesday (8/9/2020).

Head of Prambanan Market UPT Andi Prayitno said that the mask assistance also emphasized the ranks and traders in his area to continue to be disciplined in implementing health protocols. "We continue to urge traders to comply with the protocol. In addition, we also discipline market visitors. If there are those who do not wear masks, we reject them. This assistance is certainly a motivator for us to be more disciplined in implementing health protocols." He explained.

One of the traders at Borobudur Market, Magelang, Rofi hopes that this assistance can continue to be developed to other markets. "So that residents can continue to be disciplined and Corona can be controlled immediately. We see it ourselves on the streets, even buyers here are still ignoring health protocols." He said firmly.
