TWC AND BI CONDUCT SOCIALIZATION OF NON-CASH TRANSACTIONS AT SKMB BOROBUDUR
Borobudur Food Craft Center (SKMB) Traders received socialization of non-cash payments from Bank Indonesia Central Java at the Borobudur Museum Pendopo, Thursday (26/11/2020). This activity was attended directly by the Director of Engineering and Infrastructure of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) Mardijono Nugroho,
Head of Deputy Representative Office of Bank Indonesia Andry Prasmuko and Head of BNI Branch Office Muzzakir.
This cashless program, according to Mardijono, is important during this pandemic. It reduces direct contact between traders and buyers, thereby reducing the risk of spreading Covid-19 in the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park area.
"This program is in line with the government's policy during this pandemic to reduce cash transactions. Thank you to our MSMEs who have implemented non-cash," explained Mardijono.
In line with that, the Head of Deputy Representative of Bank Indonesia, Andry Prasmuko, supports the digitalization carried out by PT TWC for traders through non-cash payments.
"In a position like this, we must be able to build ourselves with digitalization or encourage non-cash payments. Cash transactions will increase the risk of transmission. Digital transactions do not need to bother with calculating because everything is recorded in the transaction book automatically," he explained.
Currently, in SKMB itself there are already around 50 merchants who have applied this non-cash program. PT TWC continues to strive for all SKMB merchants to switch to non-cash payments.
"Of the 117 existing kiosk owners, currently 50% are applying this non-cash payment. We are targeting that by the end of the year, 100% of traders will have switched to non-cash. We will also apply it to the traders in our environment. In addition, this non-cash payment will also be applied to traders in the Kujon area after the relocation," concluded Mardijono.
