PT TWC PROVIDES WASTAFEL ASSISTANCE FOR RESIDENTS OF KEDUNGKERIS VILLAGE

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) through the Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program of the Environmental Development division provided assistance in the form of portable washbasins distributed to six points in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, Thursday (17/12/2020). This assistance is an effort by PT TWC to participate in socializing health protocols to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the Gunungkidul community.

A total of four portable sinks were handed over directly to the Kedungkeris Village Government, Nglipar District, Gunungkidul. Kedungkeris Village Head Rusdi Martono said this assistance could increase residents' awareness to implement health protocols, especially washing hands.

"Not all residents do not understand this. The presence of handwashing facilities may be able to increase residents' attention to health protocols. Hopefully this assistance can be useful for residents," he said.

Meanwhile, two other portable wash basins were handed over to the caretaker of the Al-Ikhlas Mosque and the Head of the Serut Budoyo Hamlet, Ponjong, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta.

"This mosque is located on the main road connecting Jogja-Pacitan, so many vehicles from outside the area pass through this area. We feel the need to maintain the safety and comfort of the congregation in our place," explained one of the administrators of the Al-Ikhlas Mosque, Ripto Sugondo, Thursday (17/12/2020).

Meanwhile, Dukuh Serut Budoyo, Kapanewon Ponjong, Gunungkidul Sriyanto welcomed the provision of this hand washing facility. "We will place it in our hamlet hall, considering that this place is a gathering area for residents to hold meetings and various other activities," he said.

TJSL Manager PT TWC Bambang Sarwo Eddy emphasized to every aid recipient to continue to maintain health protocols in their respective areas. This is important to do in accordance with the 4M principles of maintaining distance, washing hands, avoiding crowds, wearing masks.

"Let's all maintain health protocols in our respective areas, at least by washing our hands regularly. With the protocols we implement, we can protect ourselves first and hopefully this pandemic will end soon," he explained.
