PT TWC INAUGURATES RTLH IN GUNUNGKIDUL
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) through its Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program laid the first stone for the construction of Uninhabitable Houses in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, Thursday (17/12/2020). A total of four RTLH in Ponjong, Karangmojo and Nglipar Gunungkidul are the targets of PT TWC's flagship TJSL program as a form of implementation of BUMN Untuk Indonesia.
TJSL Manager of PT TWC Bambang Sarwo Eddy said that the RTLH development process is a form of effort to implement the company's responsibility to participate in poverty alleviation and healthy living programs in accordance with SDGs 1&3.
"We hope that with the construction of this house, it can improve the standard of living of families to be more prosperous and happy. We advise that this house is also maintained as well as possible, its cleanliness and comfort are maintained, so that it becomes a comfortable place to rest,"
One of the aid recipients, Widodo (47 years old) expressed his gratitude for the aid given to his family. "Of course the house is more comfortable than before. We will definitely live in it until we are old and I will take care of it properly," explained the resident of Kedungkeris Village, Nglipar, Gunungkidul.
Setiyono, a resident of Trenggono Lor Hamlet, Sidorejo, Ponjong, Gunungkidul, almost never imagined he could build a decent house for his family. The man who works in natural stone processing seems enthusiastic to finish building his house, which is also assisted by several of his neighbors.
The plan is, the 7X10 meter house will consist of two bedrooms and a living room. "We never imagined we could have a house like this. A comfortable house for our family," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of Kedungkeris Village, Nglipar, Rusdi Martono said that this program is very beneficial for the community. "This program is very appropriate and very beneficial for poor families. Hopefully this program can continue and target more poor households in various regions, especially Gunungkidul," he explained.
