PT TWC Supports Synergy of Central Java-DIY BUMN TJSL Program

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) hosted the BUMN Communication Forum (Forkom) meeting of Central Java Province and the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Thursday (25/2/202). The activity, which took place in the Meeting Room of the Taman Wisata Candi Ratu Boko Complex, Sleman, Yogyakarta, was held by implementing strict health protocols and conducting rapid antigen tests for each participant.

The event was opened by a speech by the Director of Engineering & Infrastructure of PT TWC Mardijono Nugroho. In his speech, Mardijono expressed his support for this forum. This forum is considered necessary as a synergy between BUMN to play a role in advancing welfare in the Central Java and DIY regions.

"The purpose and objective of this forum is to synergize between BUMN and the provincial government, both Central Java and DIY. Hopefully this event will provide blessings and prosperity to all stakeholders involved and also the wider community," said Mardijono Nugroho.

The Coordination Meeting of the Central Java and DIY Provincial Forkom was attended by the Assistant for Economy and Development of the Central Java Provincial Government Peni Rahayu, the Head of the Central Java Cooperatives & UMKM Service Ema Rachmawati and representatives of BUMN in the Central Java and DIY regions, including PT PTPN IX, PT KIW, PT TWC, Bank Mandiri, PT KAI Daop 4, PT Jasa Marga Regional Jateng, BTN Jateng, Sucofindo, Asabri, PT Pelindo 3, Nindya Karya, Telkom Ritel Yogyakarta, BNI Yogyakarta, Bank BRI Jateng, PT Pegadaian, PT Taspen, PT Kimia Farma and PT Primissima.

This coordination meeting was led directly by the Head of the Central Java-DIY BUMN Forkom Tio Handoko. Tio invited each Forkom member to be active and synergize with each other, especially in the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program as a form of BUMN for Indonesia.

"We hope that the CSR program can be shared quarterly in the group. In addition to coordination purposes, we can also support each other and spread this good news. We want to form a good corporate image, especially in the Central Java and DIY regions," he said.

In addition, the Director of PTPN IX encouraged BUMN to play an active role, especially in natural disasters. He invited Forkom members to form a BUMN SAR team as a form of concern for victims of natural disasters.

"The intensity of disasters in DIY and Central Java is quite high, such as volcanic eruptions, floods, landslides. The BUMN SAR team will at least appear when a disaster occurs. For BUMNs that have doctors, we also hope for their participation," he continued.

Meanwhile, the Assistant for Economic and Development of the Central Java Provincial Government, Peni Rahayu, encouraged the role of BUMN to be actively involved in social and environmental activities. One of them is the mass planting of trees on critical land as an effort to prevent natural disasters such as floods and landslides.

"The Governor of Central Java (Ganjar Pranowo) is committed to planting 46 million trees this year. We plan for BUMN to plant at least 250 thousand trees. For example, PT TWC, later in Borobudur, Magelang, we can provide data on where critical land requires tree planting," he said.

Head of the Central Java Cooperative & UMKM Service Ema Rachmawati also reminded the role of BUMN especially in advancing UMKM in Central Java. This program must be carried out from upstream to downstream and is sustainable. This refers to government regulations where UMKM must be involved in the procurement of goods and services in the company.

"In the Job Creation Law, there is a regulation where 40 percent of procurement must come from SMEs. Therefore, we encourage companies, especially BUMN to pay attention to this. In addition, promotional spaces also need to be expanded considering that BUMN's reach is also wider," he concluded.
