3 Ministers Review Development of Borobudur Super Priority Area
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan made a working visit to the Borobudur Temple area, Magelang, Central Java, Friday (12/3/2021).
The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment was accompanied by the Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Anwar Makariem and the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, during this visit.
The three ministers visited Borobudur Temple as an initial step to accelerate the development of the Borobudur Temple tourist area. As is known, Borobudur Temple is included in the five National Tourism Strategic Areas (KSPN), or New Bali, with super priority status.
The Indonesian government is committed to maintaining the integrity and sustainability of Borobudur Temple as a historical heritage of the nation. This is realized by implementing the concept of quality and sustainable tourism, starting from aspects of accessibility and connectivity, amenities, and attractions.
On this occasion, the group also reviewed a number of Borobudur development points, including Borobudur Art Village or Kujon Field, Kembanglimus Community Center, Palbapang Gate, Manohara Study Center and Borobudur Temple Concourse, Magelang, Central Java.
