PT TWC Together with BUMN House Encourages MSMEs to Develop
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) collaborated with Rumah BUMN Jogja to hold a discussion with PT TWC's fostered partners at the Rumah BUMN Jogja office, Tuesday (20/4/2021). The activity entitled "Useful Chatting with Rumah BUMN Jogja" is a means of coaching to develop the competency value of fostered partner products.
Corporate Secretary of PT TWC Emilia Eny Utari opened the event which was attended by 17 fostered partners. The event, which was carried out with strict health protocols, invited MSME actors to move up a class and continue to innovate during this pandemic.
"Everyone must have felt the impact of what happened. However, we must take the initiative to find a way to get through this pandemic. Many have successfully passed through this pandemic. We hope that during this pandemic, you can still exist and your business can run well," said Emilia when opening this activity.
On this occasion, CFO of Rumah BUMN Jogja M.Subki Rifai welcomed the collaboration between PT TWC and Rumah BUMN Jogja. This collaboration aims to improve the quality of products of PT TWC's fostered partners.
"Here, Rumah BUMN Jogja collaborates with PT TWC because this place is indeed for the development of MSMEs. PT TWC asked us to be one of the facilitators for the development of its fostered partners. In the future, hopefully these fostered partners can develop and be able to do business with a wider market share," said M. Subki Rifai.
Retail Manager of BRI BUMN Creative House Alfian Empu Krisna added that PT TWC's fostered partners have enough potential to grow. "Actually, our friends have not been informed. There is potential and opportunity that these partner MSMEs can become big," he said.
He added that it is the obligation of Rumah BUMN to provide guidance to existing UMKM. In this place, various discussion classes are held to support the improvement of the quality of UMKM products.
"We are more detailed. We focus on MSMEs. Here, friends can learn about developing social media for sales tools. In addition, we also teach how to take product photos and designs that are attractive to consumers. The hope is that MSMEs from TWC will feel the benefits with the aim of increasing turnover," he continued.
TJSL & SME Founding Manager Bambang Sarwo Eddy said that these fostered partners need to improve the online sales process through social media channels.
"At a time like this, there is disruption from offline to online. This meeting found that this product is still lacking and needs to be improved. Some products are already good on social media such as Jamur Priyayi. Those that are not yet like Pandan Ngaran, Borobudur and Lopit Bokoharjo, Sleman, also need to be improved in terms of social media," he said.
One of the event participants, Wesunu Sumantoro, said that through this activity he gained knowledge to develop his products, especially on his sales account's social media channels.
"I am very interested, especially when discussing sales through social media. We will follow up on this positive activity," said the owner of the Jamur Priyayi product from Prambanan, Klaten.
Another participant, Basiyo, said that there needs to be more attention to MSMEs that are still at the bottom to move up a class and be able to compete with established products.
"We really appreciate this coaching. We want this activity to continue to be carried out so that MSMEs that are still at the bottom can move up a class and compete with larger MSMEs," said the souvenir entrepreneur from Borobudur, Magelang, Central Java.
