BUMN Synergy Builds Tourism Supporting Infrastructure in the Borobudur DPSP Area
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero), PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, Public Company (Perum) Indonesian Air Navigation Service Provider (AirNav Indonesia) and Perum Perumnas are committed to supporting the Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP) area. This is realized by improving tourism support facilities in the Borobudur area.
The 2021 BUMN Synergy Program is implementing the construction of Kiara Pandang at Puncak Duwet, Karang Tengah Hamlet, Ngadiharjo Village, Borobudur District, as well as the provision of Drinking Fountains or Ready-to-Drink Water Taps (KASIM) in the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park (TWC) area, Magelang, Central Java. Meanwhile, PT TWC was appointed as the coordinator of this collaboration.
"The scope of this collaboration is the implementation of support for five DPSPs, one of which is Borobudur Temple. The synergy of four BUMNs through the social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) program has agreed to complete the service facilities at the Borobudur Temple DPSP. Hopefully this can show the role of BUMN in being involved in improving services in Borobudur," explained TJSL & SME Founding Manager of PT TWC Bambang Sarwo Eddy during the handover of assistance in the yard of the Samudraraksa Ship Museum, Borobudur TWC Complex, Magelang, Central Java, Saturday (4/9/2021).
Through this program worth Rp. 190.500.000, four drinking water taps (drinking fountains) were handed over to Plt GM TWC Borobudur Jamaludin Mawardi and four Kiara Pandang units measuring 2,5 square meters at Puncak Duwet, Borobudur, to the Head of Ngadiharjo Village Wahyu Sariyanto.
Acting GM TWC Borobudur Jamaludin Mawardi thanked the four BUMNs that have synergized to support the improvement of services at DPSP Borobudur. According to him, drinking fountains placed at several points such as the Kandang Gajah area, Samudraraksa Ship Museum, Borobudur Museum and Information Center are in line with the needs of tourists visiting Borobudur Temple.
"One thing that is very positive and good because these needs are what tourists will enjoy in the context of the experience in this super priority destination. Now it is easy to find water, the need for drinking water can be met along the route passed by tourists," he said.
Ngadiharjo Village Head Wahyu Sariyanto said that this assistance supports residents to realize a new tourist destination at Puncak Duwet. Later, this natural destination will be marketed into a tour package at Balkondes Ngadiharjo.
"Currently, residents are enthusiastic about building Puncak Dhuwet as a new tourist attraction. Hopefully, this assistance for nature tourism will bring Ngadiharjo better, more advanced, and help the economy of residents so that residents can be more prosperous," he explained.
AirNav Indonesia CSR Manager Hermawansyah added that BUMN continues to be committed to supporting and providing contributions that can revive social, economic and environmental pillars that have an impact on the lives of the surrounding community.
"It has become our commitment to continue to strive to contribute to the community in general and to tourist destinations in particular. Hopefully this assistance can provide a multiplier effect to the surrounding community," he added.
