PT TWC Conducts Trial Simulation of Opening of Ratu Boko Temple Tourism Park (TWC) Using PeduliLindungi Application

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) conducted a trial simulation of the opening of the Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) Ratu Boko destination using the PeduliLindungi application, Friday (24/9/2021). After the simulation attended by internal and external parties, the plan is for TWC Ratu Boko to conduct a trial opening for tourists on Saturday (25/9/2021).

The simulation was carried out after TWC Ratu Boko received QR Code from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) and permitted to operate on a limited basis by the DI Yogyakarta Province Covid-19 Handling Task Force during PPKM level 3.

TWC Ratu Boko is one of four destinations in DI Yogyakarta that opened in the second phase of this trial. The other three are Hutan Pinus Pengger, Taman Wisata Merapi Park, and Seribu Batu. This opening follows three other destinations that have been operating, such as Hutan Pinus Mangunan, Tebing Breksi and Zoo Gembira Loka.

PT TWC as a BUMN managing cultural heritage-based destinations is fully committed to implementing health protocols and implementing the PeduliLindungi application in the tourist destinations it manages. PT TWC has also compiled Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) that is professional, implementing a vaccination program for all employees and achieving CHSE certification in all tourist destinations it manages.

"This is proof of our efforts to realize healthy, safe and comfortable tourism for tourists. Hopefully our seriousness in preparing this can be a starting point towards the revival of tourism, both regionally and nationally," explained PT TWC President Director Edy Setijono in Ratu Boko, Yogyakarta, Friday (24/9/2021).

In this simulation, TWC Ratu Boko prepared standard operating procedures and protocols that must be followed by employees and tourists, such as having undergone at least the first stage of vaccination, having a body temperature below 37,3 degrees Celsius, and scanning a barcode (Barcode) check in and check out in the PeduliLindungi application when entering and leaving the destination located in the Sewu Mountains landscape. In this trial opening, the maximum quota for TWC Ratu Boko is 1.700 people, including visitors, employees and traders with visiting hours from 09.00 – 17.00 WIB.

The President Director of PT TWC said that in a number of managed destinations, such as TWC Borobudur and TWC Prambanan, there were no network constraints experienced by tourists when scanning barcodes to enter the area. This has an impact on the smooth flow of tourist activities, so that there is no accumulation that will result in crowds.

"Previously, we checked the network in the Ratu Boko area to ensure the smooth process of downloading the application and the process check in and no obstacles were found. Hopefully this can continue to be maintained and help smooth the flow of tourism in Ratu Boko," he continued.

The President Director of PT TWC also hopes that the opening of TWC Ratu Boko can help drive the economy of the surrounding community. "Hopefully, the opening of TWC Ratu Boko can add to the choices of tourist activities in the Yogyakarta area that are safe and comfortable to visit. Through tourist visits, of course, it will also have an impact on the economy of other tourism actors," concluded Edy Setijono
