PT TWC and Bank BPD DIY Sign Cooperation Agreement and Launch QRIS Bank BPD DIY on Visiting Jogja Application

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur Prambanan and Ratu Boko (Persero) and Bank BPD DIY signed a Cooperation Agreement and launched QRIS Bank BPD DIY on the Visiting Jogja application at Rama Shinta Garden Resto, Ramayana Prambanan Complex, Wednesday (3/11/2021). The synergy between Bank BPD DIY, PT TWC and the Yogyakarta Special Region Provincial Tourism Office is to participate in developing and enlivening Yogyakarta tourism.

President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono together with President Director of Bank BPD DIY Santoso Rohmad signed a cooperation agreement aimed at facilitating financial transactions for the public, so as to encourage the rotation of the wheels of the economy in Yogyakarta, especially in the tourism sector.

"This is our effort to introduce the use of cashless transactions. This is certainly in accordance with the health protocols that we still have to strive for during this pandemic," explained PT TWC President Director Edy Setijono.

PT TWC as the manager of the iconic cultural heritage-based tourism area in DIY, supports digitalization efforts to realize quality tourism in Yogyakarta. This transformation process needs to be supported by various parties as an effort to prepare for the revival of the tourism sector.

"QRIS is an effort to digitize as an important part of the business transformation process in the tourism sector. We need to make a joint effort to prepare for the revival of the Yogyakarta tourism sector," he added.

Bank BPD DIY President Director Santoso Rohmad said that the BPD DIY QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard) channel is here to facilitate people's financial transactions, so that it can drive the wheels of the economy in Yogyakarta in various sectors.

"The form of real support from Bank BPD DIY for the tourism sector is manifested in the acquisition of QRIS BPD DIY merchants at tourist destinations in DIY along with their supporting ecosystems such as MSMEs around the destinations," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the DIY Tourism Office, Singgih Raharja, said that the collaboration between PT TWC, Bank BPD DIY and Visitng Jogja was a collaborative effort to provide a solution to the problems caused by the pandemic.

"This is an extraordinary collaboration to provide easy services for tourists who want to visit Yogyakarta. An effort to revive tourism. Let's collaborate and synergize to rise together," he said.
