PT TWC Welcomes First Visitors in 2022

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) gave appreciation to the first 5 visitors in 2022 who visited the destinations of Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) Borobudur, TWC Prambanan, TWC Ratu Boko, Rama Shinta Resto and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Saturday (1/1/2022).

This welcoming ceremony for the first tourists is a routine agenda carried out by PT TWC as a form of gratitude and appreciation for the trust of tourists to make TWC a tourist destination of choice, especially during this pandemic.

The first visitors at each destination received a special welcome directly by the GM and other management. The welcome was carried out symbolically by draping a batik scarf from PT TWC's fostered MSME partners and giving attractive gifts to these first visitors.

At TWC Borobudur and TWC Prambanan, the first five visitors were also invited to plant trees in zone II of the Taman Wisata Candi destination. This tree planting activity is in line with PT TWC's go green agenda in 2022 and campaigning for the green industry which is the big theme of the upcoming 20 G-2022 Indonesia Presidency.

"Our destinations (TWC Borobudur, Prambanan and TMII) are part of the upcoming G-20. In this welcoming, we invite visitors to campaign for green tourism. We hope that this initial visit will be a spirit in organizing tourism activities in 2022," explained GM TWC Borobudur Aryono Hendro Malyanto, in Magelang, Central Java.

Visitors to TWC Borobudur had the opportunity to plant Pranajiwa Trees. Meanwhile, visitors to the TWC Prambanan area planted Kepel Trees. This plant is the identity of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

"This planting is not only a form of TWC's commitment to emphasize green tourism in every activity, but also a form of bond between the destination and visitors. So that later, hopefully, in five or ten years' time, they will remember that they planted in Prambanan, so they can come here again," explained GM TWC Prambanan Jamaludin Mawardi.

One of the first visitors to Borobudur Temple Tourism Park, Boyman Harefa (40 years old) was delighted to have the opportunity to plant trees in this Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP). "We didn't expect it and were happy to be able to plant here, as a sign that we had visited here. An extraordinary destination," said the man from Jepara, Central Java.

Another first time visitor to TWC Borobudur, Alma (32 years old) did not expect to receive this special welcome. "My family and I feel very honored. We are very impressed by the welcome for my child, for my family," said the man from Garut, West Java,

The first visitor of TWC Prambanan, Susi Hidayati admitted that she had planned to visit Prambanan Temple in the morning. "I was curious after reading on the website that there was a Pruputan Prambanan package. We came here and turned out to be the first visitors," said the mother of three from Surabaya.

He hopes that through his arrival he can introduce the grandeur of Prambanan Temple to his children. "Especially after planting this tree, we have an attachment to this place, so that in the future we can return to this place," he said.

At TMII, the first tourist who visits gets a souvenir doll NITRA which is the mascot of TMII. In addition, visitors are also greeted with a performance of Dol musical instruments and Art Dolls.

Three lucky tourists are Vidya from East Bekasi, Yus from Tangerang, and Azizah from Cikarang. The first three tourists also get free tickets to visit the Bird Park, Freshwater World, and the Keong Emas IMAX Theater.

"On behalf of the TMII leadership, I would like to congratulate you all on being selected as the first three visitors to enter TMII in 2022," said TMII Executive Director I Gusti Putu Ngurah Sedana.
