PT TWC Encourages Development of Fostered Partner Products

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko is committed to continuing to provide guidance and assistance to its partners. Through the Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program, PT TWC hopes that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) products will continue to grow and can play a role in building the independence and welfare of MSME actors in Indonesia. One of the things that is done is to provide assistance in the form of production equipment to partners who are committed to developing their business products in the future.

Corporate Secretary of PT TWC Emilia Eny Utari together with Plt TJSL & SME Founding Manager Ismiyati and the team provided assistance in the form of production equipment to one of Wedang Rempah Merapi's fostered partners, Friday (1/3/2022). The assistance was received directly by the business owner, Yamik Tri Jarwani at his residence in Dusun Butuh, Siderojo, Kemalang, Klaten.

The assistance in the form of spiced wedang production equipment provided includes one Bosch Hot Gun unit, one coffee flour grinding machine unit, one food dehydrator unit and one plastic sealing machine unit. This equipment will later be used to support the production process which includes the drying, grinding and packaging processes.

"From the beginning, we did everything manually. Starting from drying ginger that depends on the heat of the sun, crushing ginger, everything is manual. This assistance can certainly help the production process more effectively and efficiently," said Tri Jarwani.

In addition, through the equipment provided by TJSL TWC, he is also eyeing export opportunities to several countries with high absorption rates of local ginger products. "Actually, the demand for pure ginger is very large. That's why I asked for the dryer and grinder. If ginger and turmeric are dried, the Indian market share is wide open," he continued.

Wedang Rempah Merapi is a product made by housewives in the surrounding area. In addition, the main raw materials for this traditional drink are also obtained from fertile lands on the slopes of Mount Merapi. In addition to Wedang Rempah Merapi, Tri Jawani also produces Sambal Korek Merapi which can be obtained at modern chain stores in Klaten, Central Java.

"Mrs. Tri Jawani has innovated by introducing product diversification. This is certainly very good and needs to be supported by excellent packaging, meaning it meets standards and the price is appropriate. It needs to be developed, especially since you also empower the surrounding environment. TWC hopes that all partners that we foster can develop well," explained Emilia Eny Utari.
