Indonesian Vice President Ensures Borobudur TWC Readiness to Welcome Tourists During 2022 Eid Holiday

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko ensures the readiness of the Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) Borobudur destination to receive tourist visits during the 2022 Eid holiday. PT TWC predicts that the 2022 Eid holiday will be different from the previous two years, so it requires thorough preparation and synergy with various related stakeholders.

The readiness of Borobudur Temple as a Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP) to face tourist visits during Eid 2022 received special attention from the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. (HC) KH Ma'ruf Amin who made a working visit to the Borobudur area, Thursday (21/4/2022), accompanied by the Vice President's wife Hj. Wury Ma'ruf Amin, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, Deputy Minister of SOEs I Pahala Nugraha Mansury, and several other officials, especially the President Commissioner of PT TWC Kacung Marijan and the President Director of PT TWC Edy
Setijono welcomed his presence. The visit of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin was also to review the development of the Borobudur area that has been carried out by the PUPR Ministry.

The Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia appreciated the various developments of tourism support facilities in the Borobudur area such as the construction of 4 gates, repair of roads, sidewalks and lighting, also including the renovation of residents' houses into homestays that can be used by tourists. This visit was also conducted to review the arrangement of the concourse which makes Borobudur Temple look more magnificent and beautiful.

The Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia also ensured the implementation of health protocols at the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park destination, such as the implementation of the PeduliLindungi application, the implementation of vaccination screening for tourists who will enter the area. TWC Borobudur added a number of signs for the implementation of health protocols at a number of points, including ensuring clean and comfortable toilets for tourists according to the CHSE standards of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

"We ensure the readiness of excellent services that do not reduce the comfort of tourists, both in the form of improving a number of facilities in the field, as well as synergizing with stakeholders in ensuring health protocols, including the smooth use of the PeduliLindungi application," he explained.
