PT TWC Provides Assistance and Donations to Amanah Klaten Orphanage
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko through the Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program handed over logistical assistance and compensation to 45 foster children of the Amanah Orphanage, Tuesday (26/4/2022). The assistance was symbolically handed over by Acting TJSL & SME Founding Manager Ismiyati accompanied by SME Loan Management & Reporting AM Purwanti Pujiastuti and Acting TJSL & SME Funding Planning AM Roto Toge.
The aid was received directly by the management of the Amanah Kasno and Andri Sugianto Orphanage along with 45 foster children. The aid consisting of rice, cooking oil, sugar, biscuits, and milk is a routine program carried out by PT TWC, especially during the month of Ramadan.
"This assistance is a form of our company's concern in accordance with the Social Development Pillar of the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB/SDG) in the area around the company in Klaten. Hopefully this little bit can be useful and bring blessings to all of us," said Ismiyati.
Amanah Klaten Orphanage, which has been operating since 2009, has three main programs, namely the Amanah Child Welfare Institution (LKSA), the Al-Quran Education Park and the Job Training Center. "Our hope is that all of this will equip our children so that they can achieve their goals and become pious children," explained Andri Sugianto.
The orphanage located in Prigi Kidul RT 3, RW 4, Dusun II Gemblegan, Kalikotes District, Klaten Regency, Central Java, cares for 54 children, both from the area around the orphanage and those located far from the orphanage, such as the Delanggu and Bayat areas, Klaten.
Amanah Orphanage provides educational cost guarantees from elementary to secondary education for all its foster children. "This orphanage started from a concern for education, so the orphanage is oriented towards education. Foster children must go to school and complete their initial educational obligations well," he said.
Andri Sugianto expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance that has been channeled by PT TWC. He also hopes that communication and cooperation can continue to be established between PT TWC and the Amanah Klaten Orphanage, of course with the aim of helping foster children to develop and achieve their dreams.
"We hope that good communication can be established so that we can provide support to the orphanage children, of course with their respective portions such as for children to be able to travel and play at Prambanan Temple. Providing an understanding that temples are not just stones, but behind them there is historical value. Of course this can motivate children in the future," he continued.
In addition to providing assistance, the TJSL TWC team also invited foster children to play, create and provide motivation in achieving their dreams, guided directly by interns from UGM. One of the foster children, Raka (13 years old) said he was happy to be able to participate in the activity.
"My ambition is to become a famous chef. I am motivated to pursue this ambition," said the first grade student of SMP 6 Klaten.
