PT TWC Supports the Implementation of the 2022 Jogja Volkswagen Festival (JVWF)

Volkswagen car lovers throughout Indonesia flocked to the 2022 Jogja Volkswagen Festival (JVWF) which was centered at Nandi Field, Prambanan Temple Tourism Park complex, Yogyakarta. Around 75 VW cars were exhibited, both in indoor nor outdoor. Various classic series of cars manufactured by this German manufacturer also managed to attract the attention of visitors.

Jogja Volkswagen Festival (JVWF) #5 2022, which took place for two days in the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park area, Yogyakarta, was lively. Owners and fans of this German-made car met at the event titled "Long Time No See". The spirit of togetherness was reflected in the Long Time No See friends. As a form of longing after not seeing each other for a long time, precisely during the high Covid-19 cases.

Head Manager of Volkswagen Club Yogyakarta Sumartoyo said that participants in this event did not only come from Yogyakarta, but also clubs from Central Java such as Klaten, Solo and Magelang. Not a few also came from outside Java such as from Makassar, Pekanbaru, Kalimantan and even from Malaysia.

"That's because actually our event is biennial, but because of the pandemic, we can't hold it so we postponed it to 2022," he explained Sunday (16/7).

Jogja Volkswagen Festival (JVWF) 2022 appears more adaptive, conceptual, and dynamic following the development of the times and the world situation. Adaptive because it carries a hybrid concept, face-to-face and virtual in the midst of a pandemic that has not really ended. The committee also prioritizes health during the celebration.

Conceptualized because JVWF accommodates many interesting events seriously, meaning that the portion of the event is virtual and face-to-face the same, including the display of VW car collections online and offline. The offline exhibition will showcase VW cars of various types, from classic to custom. Dozens of VW and Porsche cars are on display, the oldest being a 1951 Porsche.

Dynamic because each concept carried is in accordance with the times. The four JVWF events always present many segments that support visitors. After presenting Didi Kempot at its last event, the 5th JVWF presents a segment titled JVWF Music Festival. This segment is also held for two days.

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko supports the agenda that has been included in the annual event calendar for VW fans around the world. President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono said that this event will attract thousands of visitors from various regions in Indonesia and several neighboring countries.

"This certainly has a significant impact, not only on the tourist destinations, but also the surrounding areas. Hopefully, this event will have a positive impact on the economic recovery process in the region, especially DIY and Central Java," he said.
