Livin' Rhapsody of The Archipelago Introduces the New Face of TMII

Cultural festival Livin' Rhapsody of The Archipelago successfully held from the Keong Mas IMAX Theater, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, Friday (26/8/2022) evening. This event was held as side event The 20 G2022 Presidency in Indonesia, as well as a series of closing events for the Independence Month commemorating the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, is presented by the Indonesian Ministry of Economy, the Indonesian Ministry of State Secretariat, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indonesian Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and in collaboration with InJourney and PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko as the manager of the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) destination.

This cultural festival is also in order to introduce various Indonesian cultures, from songs to dances to the Ambassadors of friendly countries of Indonesia. This event features a number of talented artists and artists from various regions in Indonesia, including Ndarboy Genk & Endah Laras, Alffy Rev & Novia Bachmid, Wisisi, The Grand Duo Italiano, Ms Adhiksa Thomson and the Gayam 16 Gamelan Community.

President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono said that Livin' Rhapsody of The Archipelago This is the first step to introduce the spirit of transformation and the new face of TMII as The Ultimate Showcase of Indonesian Beauty.

"TMII's transformation as The Ultimate Showcase of Indonesian Beauty will make TMII a destination for the pride of the Indonesian nation through its diverse cultures and customs. We are also committed to presenting an inclusive area for all levels of Indonesian society," he explained, Saturday (27/8/2022).

PT TWC as a company member of Injourney engaged in the management of cultural heritage destinations is fully committed to presenting an area that fosters a spirit of togetherness and upholds the dignity of art, customs and culture of the archipelago as the nation's wealth that plays a role as a magnet for tourism growth in Indonesia. TMII through the concept of "Indonesia Opera" is expected to be a reflection of the management of cultural destinations that are the pride of the nation and attract the attention of world tourism actors.

A number of invited guests attended the event, including the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of Indonesia Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Minister of Agrarian Affairs, Spatial Planning/National Land Agency, Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia Johnny G Plate, Deputy President Director of Bank Mandiri Alexandra Askandar and representatives of the Ambassadors of G20 Member Countries in Indonesia.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of Indonesia Airlangga Hartarto said in his remarks that the Cultural Festival Livin' Rhapsody of The Archipelago held as a series of events to support the G20 Presidency and the commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. This festival is also an effort to introduce the diversity of Indonesian culture, including works of art, local wisdom and Indonesian science and technology to the world.

"Indonesia can provide an example of good pandemic management that is Indonesia's strength to restore economic growth. Indonesia encourages the acceleration of the recovery of the arts and culture sector, with the capital of cultural and ethnic diversity, through the 20 Indonesian G2022 Presidency," he explained.

Airlangga said he welcomed the G20 Presidency event held in Indonesia. He hopes that this agenda can provide concrete benefits for all levels of society and stimulate national economic recovery according to the tagline of the 20 Indonesian G2022 Presidency Recover Together, Recover Stronger.

"Let's together strengthen our commitment to support the smooth running and success of the G20 Presidency which is also in line with the theme of the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. We hope and support that the national economic recovery can recover faster and stronger," he said.

With the holding of Livin' Rhapsody of The Archipelago as a G20 Side Event at TMII, it is the first step to introduce the new face of TMII Indonesia Opera.
