Appreciation of Good Corporate Governance, PT TWC Receives SNI Award 2022

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (PT TWC) won the 2022 SNI Award with a Silver rating from the National Standardization Agency (BSN) for the Large Organization of Agro and Tourism Sector Products category, in Jakarta, Wednesday (30/11/2022).

The award was given directly by the Head of BSN Kukuh S. Achmad to the President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono. This award was given as a form of appreciation for his consistency and commitment in implementing the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for standard quality, service quality and its products.

"Thanks to the support and encouragement of various parties, especially in this case the Ministry of SOEs as the parent in the implementation of good corporate governance, we can implement and maintain good corporate governance in accordance with governance risk and compliance referring to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI)," explained President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono.

In its business operations, PT TWC implements strict and standardized quality control to ensure that the business process and product quality produced are always at their best performance. This implementation is to support the institutional transformation and business process efforts of PT TWC into Indonesia Heritage Management Corporation (IHMC).

PT TWC as one of the tourism business actors has won the SNI Award consecutively in 2019 and 2020. Several SNIs that have been implemented include SNI ISO 37001:2016 concerning the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP); SNI ISO 9001:2015 concerning the Quality Management System; ISO 27001:2013 concerning Information Security, Occupational Safety and Health Management System Audit (SMK3); and SNI 9042:2021 concerning Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability of Tourism Activity Organizing and Supporting Places.

This award is a motivation for PT TWC to always implement a reliable operational management system to create a more sustainable business process.

"TWC as a service business manager considers service and standardization important to maintain business sustainability. We continue to maintain our commitment to improving performance and leadership performance to always focus on customers, resource development, and product management," he continued.

The SNI Award is the highest award from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on a national scale for organizations that consistently implement the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) with superior and sustainable performance, organizations that are able to compete at the national and global levels.

The SNI Award assessment process is carried out strictly and is a fairly long process, namely for approximately one year by a team of competent and experienced evaluators in their fields and determined by a panel of judges.

Overall, the assessment consists of aspects of leadership; strategy; customer focus; resource management; operations; performance measurement, analysis, and improvement; and business results. For 2022, the recipients of the SNI Award are 56 organizations consisting of Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze ranks covering 14 categories.

BSN hopes that organizations that implement SNI will increase the “added value” in the market, and public trust will also increase.

"Implementing SNI can actually be done by anyone including small-scale companies and organizations. The most important thing is the commitment to implement SNI as an effort to produce quality goods and services that can protect consumers and increase competitiveness," concluded BSN Head Kukuh S. Achmad.
