JOGJA MENARI II AT PRAMBANAN TEMPLE, PRESERVING INDONESIAN LOCAL WISDOM AND CULTURAL ARTS
The easing of the pandemic has become a spark for the birth of monumental cultural art performances. The spirit of togetherness and unity is once again echoed to support the growth of the tourism world which is increasingly developing post-pandemic.
A total of 5.142 participants from all over the archipelago were involved in the 2022 Jogja Menari Festival held at the Siwa field, Prambanan Temple Tourism Park complex, Sunday (18/12). With the theme "Nusantara Harmoni" which means a new dance work combining elements of movement and accompaniment from Yogyakarta, Aceh, Betawi, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali, Maluku to Papua, the participants performed in various forms of beautiful diversity. This dance carries the meaning of the spirit of revival together with Indonesia after going through the pandemic towards a new Indonesia.
This Jogja Menari Festival can drive the economy from the tourism sector. In addition, this event can also be developed into an international event that has the potential to impact foreign tourist visits and also foreign exchange for the country.
Also present to support and enliven the Jogja Menari Festival were the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Deputy for Tourism Products and Event Management of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the Deputy Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
