Variety of Entertainment at the Temple Tourism Park Destination during the Christmas and New Year Holidays

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (PT TWC) has scheduled a number of attractions and entertainment for tourists during the Christmas and New Year holidays. At Borobudur temple, tourists can enjoy traditional Borobudur dance performances.

"During the 2022/2023 Christmas and New Year peak season, PT TWC also synergizes with art studios around Borobudur. Tourists can enjoy traditional Borobudur dance performances when visiting the TWCB destination," said Corporate Secretary of PT TWC AY Suhartanto, Sunday (25/11).

To pamper tourists when visiting the Borobudur Temple destination, PT TWC has prepared a variety of interesting attractions, including Edukriya Go Green which is a synergy of cooperation with Borobudur community art practitioners. Edukriya Go Green held during the 2022/2023 Christmas and New Year Holidays, namely on 24-31 December 2022 and 1 January 2023.

There, tourists can exchange the plastic bottles they bring to get the experience of making crafts inspired by Borobudur Temple, using plastic waste and other supporting materials, to take home as souvenirs.

“Education Go Green "To become an educational medium for tourists, regarding the Go Green concept at TWCB destinations through activities that can be done directly by tourists," he said.

During the 2022/2023 Christmas and New Year Peak Period, tourists can visit the Borobudur Temple courtyard from 07.00-17.30 WIB. PT TWC targets the number of visits during the 2022/2023 Christmas and New Year Peak Period at TWCB destinations during the period of December 24, 2022 to January 2, 2023, to be 166.843 tourists.

"The peak of visits is predicted to occur on January 1, 2023, right at the New Year moment, which is 24.372 tourists," said Suhartanto.

Meanwhile, at Keraton Ratu Boko, tourists will be entertained with Gejok Lesung attractions, Srandul, Sitter, Cokean, and Gender music performances.

Then, there are performing arts namely Sendratari Ramayana Ballet, Dramatari Roro Jonggrang and Musical Drama Wooden Puppet Pepino as well as culinary business namely Rama Shinta Garden Resto. PT TWC targets 1.600 tourists to visit the Theater and Stage during the period of December 26-31, 2022.

Tourists can also enjoy 'Special Show The Roro Jonggrang Dance Drama during the Nataru 2022/2023 Holiday Season will be held on 26, 28, and 30 December 2022. Meanwhile, the Pepino Wooden Puppet Musical Drama can be enjoyed by tourists on 26 – 31 December 2022.
