TWC Appreciates First Visitors to Destination, Echoes Tourism Revival Through Various Welcoming Activities

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (PT TWC) as Indonesia Heritage Management is fully committed to managing sustainable and quality heritage and culture destinations. One of them is done by providing the best service to tourists, by presenting inspiring, educational, and cultural destinations and providing a sense of security and comfort for tourists.

PT TWC is a subsidiary of PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or Injourney, which is the parent holding of BUMN Tourism implementing Injourney Service Value, which is applied in providing services to tourists. The Injourney Service Value consists of several elements, namely Hospitable, Empathetic, Authentic, Responsible and Trustworthy.

As one of the implementations of the Injourney Service Value, TWC provides appreciation to the first visitors in 2023 at the Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple, Ratu Boko Palace, and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah destinations, for the first visitors, both foreign tourists and domestic tourists.

Borobudur Temple Tourism Park
Visitors began entering the ticketing area at Maingate at 06.30 WIB. The first visitors to the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park (TWCB) in early 2023 were greeted with a flower garland by TWCB General Manager, Jamaludin Mawardi and staff. In fact, a pair of elephants were on standby to provide a warm welcome to the first visitors to Borobudur Temple.

After receiving a welcome and receiving a flower garland and souvenirs from TWCB management, the first visitors were then taken using Electric Vehicles to the Lumbini area, to carry out Tree Planting. Tree planting was carried out by the First Visitors, Domestic Tourists (Wisnus) and the First Visitors, Foreign Tourists (Wisman). The type of tree planted was the Tedjo plant.

After the tree planting, the first visitors released birds, then were taken back by Electric Vehicle to Manohara Resto to enjoy breakfast, before visiting the Borobudur Temple courtyard.

Prambanan Temple Tourism Park
Appreciation of the First 5 Visitors at Prambanan Temple Tourism Park, welcomed with a scarf garland by the Director of Finance, Risk Management and HR of PT TWC, Mohamad Nur Sodiq and General Manager of Prambanan & Ratu Boko, AY Suhartanto. The scarf is the work of local MSMEs under the guidance of PT TWC.

The first visitors were then paraded to the Concourse area, accompanied by Bregada troops. These Bregada troops were adapted from the soldiers of the Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat which functioned as a troop of soldiers to protect the Kraton and its territory from enemy attacks.

Upon arrival at the Concourse area, the first visitors were invited to plant trees. The type of tree planted was the Kepel plant. After planting the tree, the first visitors were given souvenirs by the management of PT TWC, then made a tour to the courtyard of Prambanan Temple.

Ratu Boko Palace Tourism Park
First Visitor Appreciation was also carried out at the Ratu Boko Palace Tourism Park destination. The first visitors were warmly welcomed by the management of PT TWC, with a scarf garland made by local MSMEs, under the guidance of PT TWC. The first visitors were also given souvenirs, as a form of appreciation as the first visitors in 2023.

The first visitors were then paraded to the Ratu Boko gate park, accompanied by Srandul art. This Srandul art originates from DI Yogyakarta, which is a form of traditional folk art based on the local wisdom of the local community. The first visitors were then invited to enjoy the charm of the beauty of the Ratu Boko Palace.

Stage Theatre
The Teater Pentas unit, which manages the performance and restaurant business units, also gave appreciation to the first visitors in 2023. The first visitors who came this morning received a warm welcome from PT TWC management, greeted by a Tayuban dance performance typical of Teater Pentas. The first visitors to the Teater Pentas unit received souvenirs from PT TWC management as a form of appreciation as the first visitors in 2023.

Taman Mini Indonesia Indah
PT TWC Management through Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) gave Appreciation to the first 10 visitors of TMII by draping a scarf by the President Director of PT TWC, Edy Setijono and the Executive Director of TMII, Emilia Eny Utari. The first visitors were welcomed with the hustle and bustle of a drum band and the Color Changing Guard attraction.
TMII as The Ultimate Showcase of Indonesian Beauty, also presents Indonesian culture when welcoming the first visitors, namely by presenting dance attractions and regional musical accompaniment from the Riau Pavilion, namely the Sekapur Sirih Dance.
The offering dance or sekapur betel dance, which means welcoming guests or folk entertainment, contains an expression of the whiteness of the Riau Malay community in welcoming guests and is a symbol of sincerity and sincerity in receiving guests. The betel nut is a symbol of strong and true friendship and brotherhood. The performance was enhanced by the Serindit Anjungan Riau Marching Band performing the rhythm.

Towards Hope 2023
Welcoming the new year 2023, PT TWC raises the theme of the spirit of Tourism Revival. This is interpreted as the spirit towards Tourism Revival which is always echoed. The various activities arranged in the First Visitor Appreciation activities in all destinations managed by PT TWC today, visualize the spirit of Tourism Revival.

The planting of trees by the first visitors means planting new hopes filled with goodness and optimism, towards the Revival of Tourism. The garlanding of scarves made by MSMEs implies that the Revival of Tourism is marked by the involvement of the active role of MSMEs. The Bregada soldiers are a symbol that together we must protect each other in the Revival of Tourism phase. The Releasing Birds activity has a deep meaning, namely a symbol of love for fellow living beings. The nuances of Javanese tradition describe how we must continue to maintain and uphold the values ​​of Indonesian culture amidst the hustle and bustle of the Revival of Tourism. The attractions of regional dance and music signify the spirit of Indonesian Diversity, united above the diversity of differences towards the Revival of Tourism.
