TWC Collaboration and Educational Institutions, Presenting Go Green Tourism Education

The implementation of quality tourism values ​​presents destinations not only as places to have fun with various fun activities. However, it also becomes a means of education, including to raise awareness of environmental conservation.

This step was taken by PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko in collaboration with SMA I Kalasan, Sleman, to participate in realizing a beautiful and comfortable destination for tourists. This effort was made to introduce students to love the environment around their school, especially the heritage area which is a world tourism destination. 

The activity, which was attended by 730 students from grades I to III of high school, was carried out in the Wisnu, Brahma and Analana TWC Prambanan field areas. This Community Environmental Cleanliness Movement was echoed by SMA 1 Kalasan as part of the Adiwiyata School program which aims to encourage awareness of school residents in environmental conservation efforts.

The Adiwiyata school program encourages and supports environmental conservation programs in sustainable and environmentally conscious development for the benefit of future generations. In this event, tree planting was also carried out in the TWC Prambanan area as a form of participation in greening the heritage area and celebrating the One Million Tree Movement Day.
