TWC Shares Distributes 3300 Food Packages to Residents in the Destination Area of ​​the Temple Tourism Park and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (PT TWC) distributed 3300 basic food packages to underprivileged communities around the tourist destinations it manages, including Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) Borobudur, TWC Prambanan, TWC Ratu Boko and also Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).

This regular activity held every Ramadan before Eid al-Fitr is one of PT TWC's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs. This program is in accordance with the pillars of social development in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which aim to help meet household needs, especially before Eid al-Fitr.

The basic food assistance consists of rice, cooking oil, granulated sugar, instant noodles, tea bags, soy sauce, and cookies. The recipients of the basic food packages include 1.300 residents in Borobudur sub-district; 975 residents from seven villages in Prambanan, Klaten; 655 residents of Prambanan and Kalasan, Sleman; and 500 residents around TMII, Jakarta.

In addition to underprivileged residents from villages in the destination area, basic food packages were also distributed to blind associations and pedicab communities around the destination. This program plays a role in improving the welfare of residents around the Taman Wisata Candi destination.

The program titled TWC Berbagi in the Prambanan area was symbolically opened by the Director of Finance, Risk Management and HR of PT TWC Mohamad Nur Sodiq accompanied by the Corporate Secretary of PT TWC Ay Suhartanto and TJSL & SME Founding Manager of PT TWC Ismiyati in the courtyard of the Al Iksan Mosque, Ramayana Theater & Stage Unit complex, Prambanan, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Wednesday (12/4/2023).

"In the moment of Ramadhan and welcoming the Eid al-Fitr 1444 H, we want to share happiness with the surrounding community. As one of the BUMN engaged in the management of heritage destinations in Indonesia, we want to always be present in the community and help ease their socio-economic burden. Hopefully, we can achieve this step together so that we can celebrate Eid al-Fitr perfectly," explained Mohamad Nur Sodiq, Director of Finance, Risk Management and HR of PT TWC.

Prambanan Sub-district Head, Klaten, Puspo Enggar Astuti, appreciated PT TWC's program which has been consistent in helping the community meet basic needs in welcoming this year's Eid al-Fitr.

"PT TWC has been routine for several years, even during the pandemic, PT TWC continues to actively contribute to the community even though tourism is declining. Thank you for the 1600 basic food packages given to our community. Hopefully in 2023 it will rise to be better, tourists can recover, and the use of facilities around the area will also increase to improve the surrounding economy," he explained.

One of the residents, Sarwidi (55 years old), said that this assistance also helped meet his family's basic needs. This blind man hopes that assistance like this can continue to be carried out, so that the existence of PT TWC can benefit the surrounding environment.

"Of course this is beneficial for the community around the TWC, especially before Eid. This is quite helpful in meeting the needs and hopefully this assistance can continue so that the existence of TWC can be beneficial for the community," said the resident of Kokosan, Prambanan, Klaten.

TWC's Social Responsibility Program (TJSL) Sharing the Distribution of Ramadan Gift Packages 1444 H in the Borobudur area was held in the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park Unit Office area, Magelang, Central Java (12/4/2023). The ceremonial activity was attended by the Director of Operations and Infrastructure Development of PT TWC Mardijono Nugroho, Borobudur Sub-district Head Subiyanto and the ranks of the Borobudur Sub-district Leadership Communication Forum (Forkompincam).

"It is a joy for PT TWC, this year we can again share with the residents around Borobudur. At least 1.300 Ramadan Gift Packages today we distributed to residents, hopefully they will be blessed and provide benefits. Please pray and bless all of you, hopefully PT TWC can continue to share and provide benefits to the environment and the surrounding community," said Mardijono Nugroho, Director of Operations and Infrastructure Development of PT TWC.

Meanwhile, Borobudur Sub-district Head Subiyanto who was present also expressed his gratitude to PT TWC. Through this assistance, it is hoped that it can participate in maintaining social stability and community security in the Borobudur area.

The community must support the quality of Borobudur tourism services, so that visits continue to increase and provide economic impacts for the community," said Subiyanto, Head of Borobudur District.

In addition to distributing basic food packages to the community, during this month of Ramadan, PT TWC through its Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program also distributed basic food packages to several orphanages in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Central Java.

In 2023, PT TWC also carries out various empowerment programs in the fields of education, health, environment, culture and economy. This aims to lead the community to have a more prosperous life.
