Encouraging Tourism Ecosystem Growth, InJourney Presents InJourney Hospitality House in Purworejo
PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney through its subsidiary, PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko held training InJourney Hospitality House (IHH) for tourism actors and MSMEs in Purworejo Regency, Central Java.
Activities included in the Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program InJourney Group This is presented to provide hospitality mindset to tourism actors and MSMEs in tourism destination areas, especially in the Borobudur Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP) area.
Activity InJourney Hospitality House This time it was held at the Multipurpose Building, Kedungsari Village, Purworejo District, Central Java, from 21 to 23 July 2023.
InJourney Hospitality House (IHH) in purworejo 2023 was attended by 60 participants who were given training for 3 days with practical and theoretical learning methods. IHH Purworejo participants came from various regions in Purworejo and also Kebumen, Central Java.
Training by Trainer IHH consists of 4 training modules, namely how to behave correctly in attitude and communication in service (hospitality communication). This is also in line with InJourney's vision and mission to realize services with typical Indonesian hospitality to the world stage.
Corporate Secretary of PT TWC AY Suhartanto said that IHH is part of building a tourism ecosystem, especially in the Borobudur Super Priority Tourism Destination area.
"We are no longer talking sectorally, that this tourism is connected between YIA and the destinations and surrounding areas. This also challenges us to prepare ourselves to face the challenges that are present in the tourism sector. Later, this tourism will also become a mainstay for the Indonesian economy," he explained.
TJSL & SME Founding Manager PT TWC Ismiyati said that IHH Purworejo was implemented as part of the BUMN's social responsibility to the community, especially in supporting the increase in tourism in the Borobudur DPSP area.
"We have an extraordinary characteristic, namely hospitality in serving and receiving visitors. This is the attraction of Indonesian tourism. Thank you for the support of various parties for the implementation of IHH in Purworejo," he explained.
Acting Head of Purworejo Sub-district Adi Pawoko hopes that this activity can help develop tourist destinations in Purworejo district.
"Please guide these participants through training, how good tourism services actually are. Managing tourist destinations looks easy but is actually difficult. Please help and support them regarding good tourism governance so that the management of tourist attractions in Purworejo can develop," he said.
One of the participants, Triyadi (32 years old) said that through this training he gained a lot of learning to develop in the tourist destination that he manages through the Sokoagung Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), Bagelen, Purworejo.
"There are many lessons and experiences gained here, such as how to behave and good marketing. If we become tourism actors, then there are many important materials to advance the destination to grow," he concluded.
