Commemorating the 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, PT TWC Presents “Red and White Excitement” at All Destinations

In order to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia (HUT RI), PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (TWC) presents "Semarak Merah Putih" in all tourist destinations managed by PT TWC. This program aims to thicken the sense of nationalism, as well as a form of love and pride for the homeland of Indonesia.

The Red and White celebrations at PT TWC destinations are realized with various interesting activities that build national spirit through a number of actions, including blood donation, raising dozens of Red and White flags, playing national struggle songs, Catwalk Nusantara, Red and White menu, and provides facilities free of charge or free entrance tickets for visitors named Agus who visit the PT TWC destination.

"This Red and White Celebration is a PT TWC program to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. A variety of activities that are full of educational value and socio-cultural we package it with nuances that enliven the celebration of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, a moving momentum for the motherland. The Semarak Merah Putih program presented by PT TWC is expected to be a new attraction at the destination, which provides experience value to tourists," said Febrina Intan, President Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko.

PT TWC kicked off the Red and White Celebration by playing national struggle songs at the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park (TWC), Prambanan TWC and Ratu Boko Palace TWC, from August 13, 2023 to August 31, 2023. The singing of these struggle songs also enlivened the leading cultural heritage tourism destinations in Indonesia.

PT TWC also held a Blood Donation action on August 14, 2023 at the TWC Prambanan Unit Office. The action, which collaborated with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), was attended by dozens of volunteers from PT TWC employees.

On August 17, 2023, various experience presented by PT TWC, including the "Hai Agus" program by providing Free of charge Entrance tickets to the TWC Borobudur, TWC Prambanan and TWC Keraton Ratu Boko destinations, for tourists named Agus and born in August.

At the peak of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day celebration, PT TWC also presents "Catwalk Nusantara" at the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park destination. This collaborative program between PT TWC and the Indonesian Fashion Designers and Entrepreneurs Association (APPMI) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is presented to help color the Red and White Excitement at the World Cultural Heritage destination.

To help maintain the solemnity of the momentum of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, on August 17, 2023 at 10.16 WIB, the sound of the Proclamation of Independence and the singing of the National Anthem Indonesia Raya will be heard, at all destinations managed by PT TWC, followed simultaneously by tourists.

PT TWC also echoed campaign #nusantaraclothing which is intended for tourists visiting PT TWC destinations. Campaign This is echoed to increase awareness of the richness of Indonesian textiles. The richness that is rooted in the socio-cultural society of the archipelago is a manifestation of creativity, work, and intention and is one of Indonesia's unique riches. 

Tourists visiting the Taman Wisata Candi destination are spoiled with a special culinary menu to welcome the celebration of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. This typical Indonesian menu with a red and white nuance can be enjoyed at several restaurants located in the Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) area, including Manohara Resto, Prambanan Resto, Andrawina Resto and Rama Shinta Garden Resto. This menu will be served from 15 to 21 August 2023.

The culinary offering titled Sekul Kamardikan is the main menu in the celebration of the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at Manohara Resto, TWC Borobudur complex, Magelang, Central Java. The Sekul Kamardikan menu consists of Tumpeng Rice with side dishes of Tuna Fish Mangut and Princess Matadikan Eggs. This menu is complete with Wedang Kamardikan which melts thirst and lightens the atmosphere.

At Prambanan Resto, a special Independence menu titled Merdeka Package is presented to tourists visiting TWC Prambanan. This menu consists of Nasi Gurih Merah Putih, surrounded by a number of side dishes in the form of Potato Dried, Balado Eggs, Chicken Sempol, Oseng Vermicelli and is complemented with drinks. Fruit Punch.

Rama Shinta Garden Resto serves Red and White Rice along with a number of side dishes consisting of Shredded Chicken, Salted Egg Paprika, Fish and Chicken Satay. The Merdeka Package served in the Ramayana Prambanan Theater and Stage area, Sleman, is equipped with Young Coconut Ice and refreshing cut fruits. 

Meanwhile, at Andrawina Resto, the Merdeka Package is served in the form of Red and White Tumpeng Rice, Rendang Meat and Wedang Boko, which is a signature drink of Andrawina Resto consisting of natural spices. This special dish adds to the characteristics of this leading Cultural Heritage tourist destination in Sleman, Yogyakarta.
