Injourney Hospitality House in Purworejo: Bringing Indonesian Hospitality to the World

PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney through PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko presents the 6th Injourney Hospitality House in Purworejo, Central Java. The activity, which will take place from 13-15 November 2023, aims to present typical Indonesian hospitality in the Borobudur Super Priority Tourism Destination area.

The 6th IHH was attended by 60 participants consisting of tourism actors consisting of homestay owners, tourism destination managers, BUMDes members, tour guides, and also UMKM actors supporting tourism in the Purworejo area. The activity is a form of BUMN's presence to support the development of quality tourism in Indonesia.

TJSL & SME Founding Manager PT TWC Ismiyati said that IHH focuses on establishing a pattern of excellent service in Indonesian tourist destinations. The quality of service supported by human resources and infrastructure will present quality destinations that are appreciated by tourists.

"Hospitality is the main capital, so in this IHH we encourage tourism actors in the DPSP area to apply the same standards in service. So that it will present a deep impression for tourists who visit," he explained.

In addition, IHH also helped form a network of tourism actors in the Purworejo area and its surroundings. Collaborative efforts that generate new ideas can refresh the destinations in Purworejo.

"Networking between tourism actors is very important. We must work together to present fresh ideas in order to improve quality tourism in Purworejo. Hopefully, with this collaboration, we can bring prosperity evenly to various supporting sectors," continued Ismiyati.

One of the participants of the 6th IHH, Intan Puspita Dewi (28 years old) this training is useful for her, because it presents basic material on excellent service. According to her, this material is needed for anyone in the tourism industry or UMKM.

"At IHH we received basic service training such as materials on effective, good and correct communication, how to greet customers, we really need it and have never received it. Hopefully we can practice it directly to customers and tourists," said the kuljner business owner in Grabag District, Purworejo.

Another participant, Edy Purnomo (51 years old) said that with IHH he hopes to be able to network with tourism actors and MSME actors in Purworejo.

"Later, we can share with each other, share information about Purworejo tourism. So, Purworejo tourism is increasingly advanced, can contribute to the community, play an active role in tourism development in Purworejo," he concluded.
