Yoga with Anjasmara at Prambanan Temple Closes the Jogja Cultural Wellness Festival Series

Hundreds of yoga enthusiasts participated in the Yoga Bersama Anjasmara activity which took place in the Bumi Perkemahan Rama Shinta area, Prambanan Temple Tourism Park, Sunday (26/11/2023). This activity was the peak of the Jogja Cultural Wellness Festival (JCWF) which presented the concept of wellness tourism by paying attention to holistic health and personal happiness.

With the grandeur of Prambanan Temple and the warmth of the morning sun, the enthusiasm of 400 yoga participants from DI Yogyakarta and Central Java soared. Participants followed each movement practiced directly by Anjasmara as an instructor. This activity was also enlivened by a wellness bazaar featuring activities such as mocopatan, meditation, nodding yoga, drinking herbal medicine, reading wuku accompanied by herbal medicine, taking a spice bath and others.

The prerequisite for participants who come to Yoga with Anjasmara is simply to exchange seven used bottles of mineral water as an entrance ticket. "The mineral bottles produced after being weighed will be used to buy tree plants to be planted around Prambanan Temple. An ecosystem like this is expected to continue to grow in Jogja," said the Head of the DIY Regional Tourism Promotion Agency (BPPD) GKR Bendara.

Yoga instructor Anjasmara said that the implementation of Yoga at JCWF is interesting considering that so far wellness activities have been held in Bali even though Jogja has a lot of potential to hold similar activities. According to him, yoga can help people improve their quality of life, uniting body, mind and soul.

"Moreover, Yoga is held in a tourist location according to him, it is good because the tourist attraction has energy. Moreover, this yoga spot has the best energy," he explained.
