World Anti-Corruption Day Seminar, PT TWC Echoes Anti-Corruption Spirit

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (TWC) held a Seminar to Commemorate World Anti-Corruption Day at The Manohara Hotel Yogyakarta, Friday (15/12/2023). The commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) is a manifestation of PT TWC's commitment to eradicating corruption by echoing the values ​​of anti-corruption cultural behavior in the company environment.

The seminar held raised the theme Synergy to Eradicate Corruption for Advanced Indonesia, adopted from the theme of Hakordia 2023. This effort is also in line with the Indonesian Government's program which continues to foster anti-corruption behavior in all levels of government and society. The seminar was officially opened with the beating of the gong by the President Director of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko, Febrina Intan, together with the Head of the National Standardization Agency (BSN) Kukuh S Achmad.

A number of resource persons were present at this forum, including the Inspector of the National Standardization Agency (BSN) Nur Hidayati, as well as Anti-Corruption and Governance, Riskand Compliance (GRC) Waluyo.

President Director of PT TWC Febrina Intan stated her commitment to preventing all forms of corrupt practices in the work environment through the Decree of the Board of Directors Number 75 of 2021 concerning the Guidelines for the Anti-Bribery Management System. This is in line with the program of the Ministry of SOEs as stated in Circular Letter No. S-35/MBU/01/2020 which contains instructions for SOE Directors to implement the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) in their respective companies.

This regulation is a follow-up to Presidential Regulation No. 54 of 2018 concerning the National Strategy for Eradicating Corruption (Stranas PK), which recommends the implementation of the Anti-Bribery Management System or (SMAP) ISO 37001:2016. Meanwhile, PT TWC itself has achieved the ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System since August 2020.

"This agenda is carried out to internalize anti-corruption values. This is in line with the implementation of the principle Good Corporate Governance (GCG) which can effectively mitigate the risk of corruption within the company and increase business sustainability," explained Febrina Intan.

Head of BSN Kukuh S.Achmad appreciated PT TWC's steps in committing to the implementation of ISO 37001:2016 standardization on the Anti-Bribery Management System. According to him, the implementation of SNI in the company will also improve the quality and competitiveness of the company in the eyes of the national and international community.

"Indonesia is only behind Singapore in terms of implementing standardization in ASEAN. This is certainly thanks to the role of all of you who encourage the implementation of SNI in your business activities. Of course, this also helps improve the quality and competitiveness of companies internationally," he explained.

The implementation of the ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System is the operational foundation of the company in all its business activities. Strengthening is supported by the activation of prevention programs, such as measuring corporate accountability, establishing a Gratification Control Unit, implementing whistleblowing system, as well as implementation good corporate governance (GCG).

The Gratification Control Unit work team actively campaigns for employees to report any form of gratification received. Management also continues to echo good corporate governance which refers to five basic principles, namely transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, as well as equality and fairness.

PT TWC also focuses on developing human resources with integrity and upholding the spirit of anti-corruption. This is realized by continuing to echo and internalize the values ​​of AKHLAK (Trusted, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, Competent).

"The guidelines that we have prepared must be obeyed together. Any violation of company rules and laws and regulations will be subject to applicable sanctions. This is a form of PT TWC's commitment to implementing anti-corruption principles and developing professional and integrity people," he said.

Digitalization is the main guard in presenting information transparency that minimizes corrupt actions. PT TWC itself has implemented a system Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), so that all transactions carried out can be controlled and monitored directly.

"This digitalization will also increase the company's effectiveness and efficiency, hopefully it will have an impact on improving the quality of our services," continued Febrina Intan.

PT TWC also collaborates with various parties, such as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the National Standardization Agency (BSN), the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), the National Police and the Attorney General's Office to present competent and integrated corporate governance.
"Through this Hakordia momentum, PT TWC hopes to become a benchmark for companies that display good corporate governance and integrity in efforts to eradicate corruption. This effort is a form of providing excellent service to all stakeholder as a manager of heritage tourism destinations in Indonesia," he concluded.
