PT TWC Presents Blessing in Harmony to Welcome the Christmas and New Year Holiday Season

PT Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko Temple Tourism Park (TWC) presents a program Blessing in Harmony, as a series of events at the Taman Wisata Candi destination to welcome the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holiday season. This program will run throughout the busy season at the TWC destination, starting from December 23, 2023 to January 1, 2024.

Blessing in Harmony Accompany the New Year's Eve moment through tourism activities heritage, which combines natural, spiritual and social activities, in line with the values ​​of quality and sustainable tourism. This agenda It is hoped that it can provide an unforgettable experience, sowing joy and happiness for tourists.

Blessing in Harmony presenting a variety of themed tourism activities heritage, including Pabbajja Samanera Sementara in the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park (TWC) area, Swara Prambanan and People's Cinema (Sinnera) at TWC Prambanan, Boko Last Sunset at the Ratu Boko Palace Temple Tourism Park, First Sunrise, Ramayana Ballet Performance, Roro Jonggrang and Shinta Obong Dance Drama at the Prambanan Ramayana Theatre & Stage area, as well as other events Brilliant Red Christmas and Wild West New Year Dinner at The Manohara Hotel Yogyakarta.

Through a series of programs Blessing in Harmony which will take place from December 23, 2023 to January 1, 2024, PT TWC predicts the number of visits will be 557 thousand tourists. This number of visits has increased by 14 percent from the number of tourist visits during the Nataru period last year.

President Director of PT TWC Febrina Intan say that Blessing in Harmony will color the excitement of Christmas and New Year holidays this time. The variety of events and tourism activities presented, add to the wealth of tourism activities in the DI Yogyakarta and Central Java areas. According to him, this will actually increase the attraction and interest of tourist visits from various regions in Indonesia. 

"Blessing in Harmony expressing hope and enthusiasm to create new, more memorable experiences in the future. This momentum is expected to bring an atmosphere of joy that attracts tourist visits and has a broad impact on improving the economy in the region," he explained.

During the peak Christmas and New Year period, the operating hours of the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park ticket counter are open from 06.30–16.30 WIB. The operating hours of the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park ticket counter are open from 06.00–17.00 WIB. For the Ratu Boko Palace ticket counter, the operating hours are from 07.00–17.00 WIB. Meanwhile, for Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, it is open from 08.00–22.00 WIB.

During the Nataru peak period, the Ramayana Ballet performance schedule is on December 23, 26, 28, 30 at 19.30 WIB. The Ramayana Ballet will also be performed on December 27 and 29 at 16.00 WIB.

Meanwhile, the schedule for the Roro Jonggrang Dance Drama performance is on December 24, 25, 27, 29, and 31, 2023 and January 1, 2024 at 19.30 WIB. While on December 26, 28 and 30, 2023, the performance is at 16.00 WIB.

PT TWC ensures the readiness of its destinations to be visited by tourists during the busy Christmas and New Year period. A number of intensive preparations have been carried out, starting with evaluating existing conditions, checking supporting facilities and infrastructure, and preparing operational procedures for services at the destinations.

Proportional operational support continues to be improved, by allocating counters and spare vehicle parking in collaboration with local residents. In addition, PT TWC also increases the number of customer service in the field to serve tourists. A number of medical equipment and hygiene and security facilities are also being improved to provide security and comfort for tourists.

In addition, PT TWC also collaborates with the TNI, Polri, Cultural Preservation Center (BPK) Region X, Borobudur World Heritage Museum and Cultural Heritage (MCB) and the surrounding community to support the provision of excellent service at the TWC destination.

At the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park destination, a Temporary Pabbajja Samanera was held which was attended by 500 participants and thousands of committees from various regions in Indonesia. The activity which lasted for 10 days was a form of introduction to monastic life, as well as moral and spiritual training guided by the Sangha Bhikkhu, by leaving worldly life and deepening spiritual practice.

Swara Prambanan is a special event that is specifically presented for the New Year's Eve at the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park destination. The year-end concert titled "Akhir Senja 2023" is enlivened by a number of Indonesia's best musicians, including Sheila on Seven, Jikustik, Kunto Aji, Shaggy Dog, Ndarboy Genk and Jogja Hip Hop Foundation. This special presentation, which is the peak of the New Year's Eve celebration, is an event that presents a meaningful and joyful experience with the magnificent backdrop of Prambanan Temple.

At the Ratu Boko Palace Tourism Park, Boko is presented Last Sunset which becomes one signature events memorable and impressive from the palace complex built in the 8th century by the Syailendra Dynasty. Tourists are offered the last sunset moment in 2023 while enjoying an early dinner at Andrawina Resto. 

To enliven the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park, Prambanan and Ratu Boko Palace, a number of traditional art performances were also presented, such as cokekan, siteran, keroncong, gejog lesung, traditional arts, acoustics from the surrounding community.

The Ramayana and Roro Jonggrang Ballet performances are still typical performances in Yogyakarta. This presentation can be a fun activity to learn more about the phenomenal story in Prambanan Temple.

First Sunrise at Prambanan Temple is an experience that certainly should not be missed. This authentic tourist activity presents a charming panorama before the sun rises from the eastern horizon.
