InJourney Destination Management & RAWHaus Collaborate to Develop Eco-Friendly Tourism Experience at Keraton Ratu Boko
Yogyakarta, July 31, 2024 – PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko or InJourney Destination Management (IDM) is committed to playing a role in supporting the circular economy in accordance with the principles of sustainable destination development.
IDM signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) cooperation with PT RAW HAUS INDONESIA or RAWHaus, a design, construction and engineering services company real estate for developing the concept of circular economy-based tourist attractions and amenities in the Keraton Ratu Boko park. IDM Commercial Director Hetty Herawati and RAWHaus Indonesia Director Cassandra Sari Damayanti signed the MoU directly at the IDM Head Office, Yogyakarta, Wednesday (31/7/2024).
As a pioneer in research and development of sustainable and zero waste homes, RAWhaus is committed to designing environmentally friendly tourism amenity modules using recycled materials. eco-friendly, strong and energy efficient. This concept of sustainable tourism development is in accordance with IDM's vision to realize green destination in its management area. This concept is also expected to increase the attractiveness of the Keraton Ratu Boko site, especially for the environmentally conscious segment.
IDM Commercial Director, Hetty Herawati said that tourism efforts heritage Sustainable is not limited to preserving historical sites or buildings, but maintaining the sustainability of the entire ecosystem of the surrounding area. IDM welcomes the use of recycled materials as materials for tourism amenities designed by RAWHaus.

Co-Founder and Director of RAWHaus Indonesia, Cassandra Sari Damayanti, revealed that the focus of this collaboration is to activate and provide added value to the Keraton Ratu Boko area by introducing eco-friendly cabins for the tourism sector. The goal is not only to provide practical living solutions but also to add significant value and appeal to the Keraton Candi Ratu Boko.
"In this case, Rawhaus together with our partners, will provide accommodation facilities in the form of modular cabins using environmentally friendly recycled materials on the land around Keraton Ratu Boko. The provision of accommodation with an environmentally friendly concept that is aligned with the local cultural and historical context is expected to provide a unique experience for visitors and contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the Keraton Ratu Boko site," he explained.
The RAWHaus Cabin which will be developed at Keraton Ratu Boko applies sustainability principles such as rainwater harvesting system, solar panels for electricity, and environmentally friendly exterior and interior materials.
Development of environmentally friendly accommodation at Keraton Ratu Boko this is a real step in realizing IDM's commitment to support sustainable tourism or sustainable tourism destination. This accommodation is expected to become a new icon in the Keraton Ratu Boko area and become an inspiration for the implementation of a circular economy in the tourism sector.
